This might be an issue with the new UI. In STO, UI rendering is strangely dealt with by the CPU, causing a massive performance hit. I have a Core i7 870 and GTX 560Ti. With everything set to max, I get a semi-choppy 40FPS which drops to below 30 during combat. If I turn the UI off, I easily get 70FPS and drops to 50-60FPS…
>Intel (R) HD graphics There's your problem. Common people, use some common sense and realise that INTEL GRAPHICS are NOT FOR PLAYING MODERN GAMES. Its gotten just silly recently, with people buying hardcore graphical games like Crysis 3, and then wondering why the game refuses to start with 'Unsupported graphics chipset'…
Mother of god......Who's the rich TRIBBLE that can afford all of those ship modules PLUS give the 10 million EC? Thats just....so much.....I've never seen a fleet do that before.
I have to admit, it looks silly and uncannon. Phaser banks don't look like that. Its just saying 'HEY THIS IS WHERE MY BIG GUNS ARE, TARGET ME HERE, I EVEN PUT A GOLD STRIPE ON THEM'. Mind, the KDF version looks even more stupid. You wouldn't have a big block of green to fire something from.
This versus a 'fleet escort' (fleet version of the blockade) I've been using the fleet escort ever since I got to VA back in july of the first year (the original and then the fleet version). I can tank (I can equal the damage output of nearly any other escort in healing), plus have the ability to do a massive alpha strike.…
I feel that this is going to become like BF3, where nearly everyone on the forums has a premium account. But still, TITLES! (megusta) EDIT: Well, that sucks, my Starfleet Veteran title isn't working.
Disabling on-demand patching means that all of the data the game needs is downloaded, instead of just a small patch, and the rest being patched when its needed (in-game). It speeds up in-game loading times, but means you have to download a fair bit when a new patch is released. The 500MB is one-off, apart from when there…
No, not true at all. It has a few bugs currently (linking to your steam account doesn't work), but otherwise it works fine. I've been using it for two days and have unlocked all the STO stuff, plus some awesome stuff for Blacklight: Retribution. I use it along side steam, and have experienced no compatibility issues.
I've noticed that. A friend of mine saw a Synergy member with a MVAM Refit last week. They either have a T4 dock (and have knocked the developers notion of it taking 4-6 months out of the way), or know some form of exploit that we don't know about.
I guess you have some form of 'Switcher' to switch from the Integrated chipset to the GT 330M. Try switching it to the GT 330M and see if that fixes the issue.
Yeah, my 2GB 560Ti can max out STO no issues, but remember that your computer is only as fast as its weakest component. If you're planning to run the 560Ti with something like a Core 2 Duo, you're gonna have issues.
That's one generation between them. Maybe the 7600 supports a rendering technology that the 6600 doesn't. The 7600 would run only under STO's lowest settings.
