  • Something along the lines of this from the concept art would be an amazing addition/option in ship customization, especially for the Federation retrofits flying around. Several months later and it still jarrs me to see my Federation vessel proudly flying Terran insignia and a big blazing orange sun smack dab in the middle…

I know the little bugs and glitches are just one more thing on a mountain of work that gets thrown at you guys but seeing these bugs get squashed lets us know you care. <3
  • > @vonkasper said: > Devs and players say Space Barbie is a kind of end game. Yesterday, devs were discussing 4/4 and 5/3 weapons on ships, they said the only problem is the visuals. I want to reinforce that we can´t have a 4/4 beams only ship. Not for doing overpowered damage, but for aesthetics. > > We could have…
  • Just got my code. Thank you, team. As tilarta already posted, if you're not an Arc user, head on over to https://www.arcgames.com/en/redeem/ to redeem your code.
  • Still waiting on mine. Take your time though, Kael - I'm patient. Just posting here as a precaution.
  • Have to say I completely agree with the OP here. The new Elachi "direction" is awful, the story is a mess with no regards for continuity (go figure, given that it's Disco), the physical redesign is just.. wrong. They do not need a redesign to make them more physically appealing so that they can be in the "good guy" lineup.…
  • Didn't say they are. Said "they seem" which admits subjective perspective. Context is important. I've also already clearly pointed out that most of us here have varying opinions on these and other designs and that's perfectly fine. I think anyone who takes the time to read what I have written can see I'm not the kind of…
  • Which is precisely the problem with the 2410 Discovery Nacelles. It's not that the design is bad - the design is actually really good. The implementation is bad. The Intel Sovereign at least has the benefit of nacelles that appear and function as a properly "complete" design, whereas the 2410 Disco nacelle caps seem…
  • Correct. My theory for why this is the case is in my post just before this one.
  • On regular nacelles, yes. On the 2410 Discovery-Era designs, no. The 2410 Disco-Era ramscoops are completely unaffected by shield visuals, nacelle visuals, etc. The reason, I suspect, is that the orange caps were a last minute design addition using non-standard assets that aren't linked to/affected by ship visuals.
  • Sadly that's a big part of the problem. The various visuals have no effect on them. It's not that they're orange that's the issue, really. Rather that they're a glaringly bright orange and they look like very poorly designed caps. On otherwise amazingly detailed ships they look.. odd. Almost like they were thrown on as a…
  • Just wanted to throw my hat in the ring and say that, having been here since beta, this is something many of us (myself included) have wanted for a very, very long time. Unfortunately however, we have been over the difficulties with the Devs on multiple occasions. The simple fact of the matter is that it is unlikely to…
  • Ran into the monster and the beast managed to eat one of my posts from ~8:00pm CST https://www.arcgames.com/en/forums/startrekonline/#/discussion/1248430/request-for-t6-cardenas
  • (Preface: Not an argument, just a continuation of the dialogue.) I'm aware, and I wasn't suggesting my usage was the official acronym, simply an acronym for it. I probably don't have to mention it since I think I laid my opinion of the show of rather plainly, but I did specifically choose it due to my views on the show.…
  • I'm far too biased to have any "hopeful" candidate, as I personally think all of the new Klingon designs are absolutely hideous to say the least. That said, I would suspect the Veqlargh-class to be coming up next, and it's certainly the best looking of the monstrosities in my opinion. I still think it is ugly as hell, but…
  • Wrong forum badge for backseat moderating. They can do their job on their own. I'm sure if they ever need your expert opinion, they will extend a consultation your way. I think I need to change my pants.
  • Yep, as has already been pointed out, it's the Reman Shield. A shame, because the reman appearance used to look quite nice a while back, but now... it looks like a texture error. Same thing happens with the new T6 Romulan vanity shield looks. They're just.. terrible.
  • I fixed it for you. The Republic isn't using Borg tech. That said, even operating on the assumption that they, like the Tal Shiar, *are* using Borg tech, and/or have been for some time, the outcome of that research has apparantly led to (and would thus be already accounted for) in the sort-of turquoise/cyan soft green that…
  • Here we go again... And this time I was in the middle of making a Caitian science officer. /PicardFacepalm
  • Thanks again, Askray. Let's hope this is the last time this happens for a while.
  • Okay.. who let Tribbles into the server room again?
  • Never said it was a private conversation. Just that it was with another user, not him, and that it did not concern him in any other way except for his continued insistence on provoking a pointless argument.
  • Yet still you're the only one claiming anything you have just mentioned, still in spite of the knowledge that the user I was communicating to had no issue whatsoever. Do you usually interrupt stranger's conversations to one another to insist that they address each other in the manner you most prefer? I will put it in the…
  • Games are coming back up one by one as we speak.
  • Only to those seeking conflict via stepping into the middle of a conversation that did not involve them for no other reason than to make overtly patronizing remarks. The hypocrisy here is rather staggering, honestly. Furthermore, my comment in no way patronized or offended the user I was speaking to, nor anyone else for…
  • I don't need to be employed by PWE to do my best to alleviate another decent human being's frustration. Thank you for your compliment, nonetheless.
  • * What you actually mean by this is that you haven't read anything at all before posting. The very first post in this thread contains the relevant information pertaining to this issue. Please, at the very least, read it.
  • I understand your frustration, I really do. However, the poster you are replying to raises very valid points. In addition, while I am a programmer, I do know a fair bit of networking and I can say from experience that when dealing with networks, even minor problems can potentially take a while to diagnose and solve.…
  • I want to sincerely thank you for your input and professionalism, Morrigan. When you've entered into this thread, you have consistently maintained a level head and a jovial outlook that is wonderful to witness. If you ever despair at reading all the forum negativity, at least know that myself and others genuinely, and…
  • There's been a decent amount added since the early days, I came back a few months ago and there haven't been any issues for some time. Try to take this with a grain of salt. The irony of your situation is pretty funny though, I agree.
