I think I'm going to pass on this. Doing three missions a total of 60 times - but only being allowed to do it once a day for the price - is not my idea of fun. And I have stuff to do besides playing this game anyways. Those of us who have lives outside of the game (please do understand that 'there is nothing beyond space,…
Does playing the same content 20 times over make it more interesting? Or more fun to do? Please Cryptic, I thought you guys had finally learned it. Players want more diverse content and if it is really necessary to play things multiple times over because content is played faster than it can be created, then at least make…
Looking at it like that, yes I agree that it was nice that Pike was transformed from an item that could be carelessly thrown away if the story required it (basically, a plot-device) to a real character. Still, because he's so much more now, I'd say it would be pretty sad to see even more of him in his own series when we…
The Economist and Karl Popper's The Open Society and its Enemies. ;) As for fiction: I'm considering buying some of The Expanse novels. It's a shame season 3 was never added to Netflix.
That has been my only annoyance with seeing Pike in Discovery: the fact that we already know that, regardless of how well life may be for him in the years he still has left, it will nevertheless end tragically for him. It would be nice if we could get a story that's a bit happier. It is hard to enjoy the nice moments you…
Anson Mount was great, and Pike is now the most handsome main character in all of Trek if you ask me. But getting him an own series is something I could only appreciate if they come up with a better ending for the character. I've read some interviews that they have tried to make his fate less tragic - . Still, regardless…
Of course, but for casual players such gear might be less interesting than the stuff they can easily pick up. Even for those kind of players, white and green is probably useless though. Oh and to be fair, I sometimes put some blue and purple stuff on Boffs if I can't be bothered to get some good stuff for them.
I'll admit, I haven't seen the video yet (it's 2 a.m. here, I might watch it later). There are some YouTube-users with great analyses (I saw one on Les Moonves and his firing and what it might mean for Trek a while ago) but in the end, an analysis is just that. A personal view which may be more or less based on facts. His…
Well, Infected needs at least three, that's true. BotS needs two at least, the others can, in theory, be soloed. (Yes, even Khitomer if you're an engineer. Place mortars, mines, run to the hills, ehm, console room to drop the shielding.)
Why do white and green quality gear still exist anyway? They're not just useless as drops, they basically serve no purpose at all. Ok, there's still some EC value there - but that indeed means that they might as well simply change the system so that we get simple EC drops more often in place of what used to be white and…
Good idea. Well, mostly. Some stuff like beverages, food and hypo sprays - basically anything that can be replicated - should definitely be removed as loot drops and just automatically get turned into EC.
Ultimately it's an understandable decision, sad as this news may nevertheless be. While there has indeed been support in terms of fixing the foundry after updates, I've always had the idea that it was considered as a nice little extra thing - in terms of how much was done with it. This isn't mean as criticism, but more…
Sad news indeed. I must admit that I haven't played a Foundry mission in a long time - but when I did play them years ago, I was really impressed with the quality of some. Some of those missions could easily have competed with official episodes in terms of story, character development and so on.
Sorry if this has been mentioned already, but I hope to see us move on to the Galactic Union soon. Or really, any sense of actual progress would be nice. Discovery has nice visuals and all that and the story is ok too - but it's all set in / based on what happened in the distant past from the perspective of most of our…
Switch out the AMD for AMP, it is probably the best thing you can get. Efficient is quite a good modifier, leave that as it is. Try also to boost your weapons or auxiliary, depending on what you use the most ;)
Well I can't imagine that games like Star Trek Armada II had huge budgets. And Stewart actually did some voice overs for that game. Also, Spiner's reluctance to play Data wouldn't necessary diminish his willingness to do voice acting. Btw, from what I've heard about Robert Beltran it was mostly that he was disappointed…
I had forgotten that those... special players exist. Being away from the game for just a few weeks can apparently have a great positive effect on how one implicitly assumes the presence of common sense in his environment.
I always forget about the Neutronic torpedo having a drain effect. Good one indeed. I'm not sure if this is the one you are referring to, but some of the temporal abilities are also useful indeed. Chronometric inversion field for example doesn't lower resistance, but the damage reduction effect it has on enemies has saved…
Those Crit Severity traits seem like a must have. Cheap crit severity increase, who doesn't want that? I'm not that interested in the gold plating on those uniforms, but I might get them. I like the black armour look and the extra weapon visuals and such.
The launch screen already said it would start today. The 23rd is a Wednesday, and updates can not take place on Wednesday so that one is probably wrong anyway. Ask captain Harrison if you don't believe me ;)
As for the things listed in the opening post of this thread: - New melee animations: cool, but I'd also like them to look at the feasibility of making all melee include a 'charge' part (where your character closes the distance with the enemy while attacking) like the swords and Voth fangs currently have. Melee weapons are…
Going to Andromeda could be so awesome. Imagine having a whole Galaxy to explore. We've spent so many seasons (like, they number in the hundreds of thousands depending on where you start considering the beginning of 'us') in the Milky Way galaxy and even here there's still plenty left to explore. A storyline set in…
That... sounds very fun indeed. I've never used mines, nor have I used the S'torr's trait thus far... but this may just have become something I'm going to try out soon.
