Same thing here, I tried on 2 different computers and did a full file check. Was planning on leveling up some today with the double xp but can't load the right character.

For some reason my laptop did this when I had a second screen plugged in unless it was mirrored, not spanning between the screens, and I had to go full screen. If on a single screen or mirrored, and full screen, it was fine.

Actually, after filing a ticket, and going over my reports, support said it was a bug, and specifically told me to post it here.... I've already got my anti-virus set up to work with STO, but thanks for the idea.

No luck on the brightness in lighting 1.0, I can adjust the calibration screen all the way in either direction and nothing happens. I can only get brighter by adjusting my monitor itself. Same issue, though it's random timing on the crashes. Video will freeze but any audio will continue its pattern until it finishes, as in, if a crash happens during an npc dialogue in a mission they still finish what they are saying even though the video has been locked. Update, got on tonight with same settings and froze after about a minute while buying some duty officers on the exchange - so back to off for lighting 2.0. All drivers for PC up to date, full file check run on STO, was working fine with everything on before Tuesdays patch.

I tried again after yesterdays patch, with 2.0 back on. It worked for a few minutes until I got into a fight, then crashed again. I was having the same thing, turning off lighting 2.0 fixed it for now.... waiting until after the patch to see if they fixed whatever the cause is before I try turning it back on.

I was having the same issue, after suspecting a graphical glitch I did some testing and eventually found out turning off lighting 2.0 fixed it - things don't look well, and it's not a permanent solution, but at least I was able to play.
