I'm a member of the fleet who runs it. We try our best to create that sort of atmosphere. Actually, there is a KDF version of the 26th Fleet. It's just not very active. For the aforementioned reason.

They could put an error message in place, or something similar when queueing, saying that all members aren't qualified for it. Isn't a similar system in place for people who aren't leveled to the point where they can do it?

Got the same problem, I'm not sweating over it though. It'll be resolved when it is resolved. People need to take a chill pill. It's launch day for a major expansion. On another note, patching for me was swift as hell.

The reason for it is plain and simple. The developers wanted to maintain the Klingon-Federation war. Opening up a 3-sided war would become quite convoluted, and shift the focus away from just the Federation or the Klingons. Therefore, the alliance system was created.

I haven't been experiencing any lag on max settings, maybe a bit here and there when it's really graphically intense, but other than that, none.
