Never regretted going LTS after the release of Legacy of Romulus! So nice too that the devs haven't forgotten us. I love these ships, and I'll echo those who say the KDF one has a much coooler look than the old one--a great improvement! My KDF toon is running toward the shipyard! Thank you!
I'm a veteran player. Lifetime subscriber. I love my main character and devote daily time to him. I have a number of alts that I play from time to time. Mostly, they are themed characters (like my Liberated Borg Romulan who captains a Borg Tal Shiar Battlecruiser populated with other borg/liberated borg boffs). I don't…
This is an excellent tribute to Mr. Nimoy and the others who have contributed to Trek and its followers for decades. Well done to the team at Cryptic for recognizing the need and executing it so thoughtfully. Thank you.
Agreed. I once played Tau Dewa patrols for rom marks, but I've never done any DR patrols beyond the campaign, so I'm happy with these changes as well, particularly the story dil and especially the ancient power cells on Kobali Prime. That will give me a reason to return to that adventure zone. Thanks
Yes. I have enjoyed this game for several years and do not regret my LTS. I like space combat and the ground combat has become increasingly fun to me over the last several updates (I enjoyed the Dyson ground zone and the more storytelling-foucsed Kobali zone as well). I'm in a great high-level fleet that is friendly,…
I love my Vesta pack. I'm holding off for another month of LTS stipend before buying the upgrade, but I'm a Tac cap who flew a Vesta almost exclusively for a year. For fun and uniqueness, I put the three vesta consoles on it with five Romulan particle generator consoles from the Embassy and built a loadout with grav wells,…
My two cents: I was really tempted to by the JHDC on my main, but I went with the tal shiar BC for my liberated borg romulan eng (my only romulan character) in part because it fit the story I had for the character (assimilated by the borg pre-Hobus supernova, gets liberated and finds his home gone, gathers a crew of other…
Thanks for this, and well said. Is it disappointing that I have to play 10 minutes of Q games a day to get a ship worth probably $20 in the store? Sure, especially since just playing the FE in the past got the ship, so breaking that precedent was probably not the best PR move. Still, compared to other MMOs, the rewards…
I'm actually hoping the Dyson ground battlezone was a precursor to some Klingon/Fed PvP ground battles in the same vein, so I hope the war doesn't end too soon. That said, I love the return of the Undine, and the manner in which it was carried out. We need some more high-level challenging STFs; perhaps the Undine will fit…
I LOVE the idea of getting Qmendations for running missions. I did not mind running FE missions over and over again during the lobi event last year because a) the rewards were worth it, and b) I could play differerent missions, with different alts, and recieve the same awards. That was brilliant. I'm always in favor of…
This mission was great fun. I enjoyed interacting with Tuvok even more than with Worf in Sphere of Influence. I also give props to the surprises--the trip to the Jenolan Sphere and the Undine. LOVED the spacewalk over the surface of the sun. Felt like my character was really "boldly going . . ." into uncharted territory.…
To me, these events will get people playing, which is what it's all about. The Lobi event would be great to return for a weekend thing from time to time--I didn't miss a day while the Lobi/featured episode thing was running. I hadn't played in a few days due to doing some other games, but I came back this weekend to take…
I guess I misunderstood the original blog: The total cap is being increased, but players will still have to purchase new slots? I'm not complaining, just asking. I'm a LTS and have several ship slots, but I haven't opened either the Obelisk or the Plesh Brek because I'm at my current limit for ships. I was about to buy a…
Personally, I like the sphere. I like the battlezone. I've liked the random missions in the allied zone. Adventure Zones work because they allow you to partcipate in the story without having to tell a story via a mission that you play once. The Deferi zone is well done. New Romulus was well done. This one seems to have…
Well, so far I love season 8. Battlezone is fun and I enjoyed storming the spire. As far as the difficulty of this update goes, let's face it: no one queues for the really hard STFs or missions anyway. No one does Elite Hive or the elite ground missions. People even avoid the Nukara missions now. Unless you do these…
A game that I love has gotten better. What's not to love? 1) UI changes are nice. In fact, the whole game looks better and my system is suffering no ill effects. 2) Atmospheric Shuttle mission: YES! YES! YES! Fun stuff making me rethink how to outfit my peregrine. (Would LOVE to see more of these in future updates!). 3)…
I'm in total agreement on the new Klingon material. I haven't played all that much, but I can't think of a better way to introduce new Klingon players and to give them a ship. From the use of the Klingon words sprinkled in there to the story itself, it just feels very Klingon--just like others have said. Major improvements…
Great mission! As others suggested, it felt very Trekish. I loved the immersive experience of having my character "forget" who he was. Nice attention to detail with the visuals--such as approaching the Enterprise-C for the first time--and the interaction from other NPCs. Good storytelling and a great reward! Thanks for a…
Well, I still have three polarized disruptor DHC on the front of the ship, so I'm not "out of that phase" :). Still, it's good that the rep system has produced something which seems to be pretty darn useful.
So the placate seems to work well for your tac? I wondered how noticeable it would be. I'm kind of leaning toward shields now; thinking about getting caught in those STF crossfires and having some chance for a free shield heal. Still not sure though. I haven't thought about the T4 Omega ones yet . . . Won't hit that until…
I just logged on to ask the same question. I fly a HEC, and typically go with offensive powers, so I'm hesitant to pick the shield heal. Plus, I picked the Romulan T2 increased crit chance, which would of course mean I placate more often. Also, I use CRF all the time, which I guess would give me a chance to placate…
I like this a lot. It looks slick, and I can certainly see it growing in functionality. Personally, I'd like to be able to manage my Doffs and maybe reputation and mail. I like to keep my Doffs working, so it would be nice not to have to go through the login process every time. Anyway, I see lots of potential here.
Captain Janson Cates stepped off of the turbolift and onto the flight deck, rubbing his eyes to combat the fatigue. The U.S.S. Stalwart had spent the previous week on patrols of the Tau Dewa sector on assignment from Starfleet Command, and what a long week it had been. On the way to New Romulus, Cates? diplomatic training…
Looking forward to this! I'm a relatively new player who only did episodes up through about halfway through the Romulan series before S7 hit and I turned my attention to New Rom and reputation work. Can I use the "skip" feature and still get credit for these missions during the limited time reruns? I certainly hope so!
Thanks for the responses! Good information. I've spent some time today perusing the forums for the first time since I started playing the game and there seems to be a lot of consensus on the 3xDHC fore/3turret aft loadout for escorts. And I use CRF all the time in my current loadout, not realizing that turrets counted as…
