This is one of the reasons I stopped playing CO. Lack of updates, upgrades or fixes. It wouldn't hurt Cryptic to stick some of it's people on CO and give it some of the care and attention it pays on STO. The only reason I think CO is still running is they don't want to lose revenue from it, or the butt hurt from closing…
The Starter Pack is worthwhile - It's only a 20. I've been spending the same on a date as I have to buy the pack, and I say it's worth it. 2 Warbirds, Liberated Reman BO, a nice title and 2 extra BO slots from the Liberated Borg BO? What annoys me though is why there's still no middle-ground...
I only noticed this occasionally, but mostly when I was panning my camera outside the normal play area (i.e. trying to lodge it within building/map walls to see behind them)
I agree. Especially with Rinna Khev, I was all... "that's it?" There's a huge chuck missing between the start (when he's hopeful of finding his sister) to nothing to finding her.
I'm using a dbb and haven't noticed anything untoward, so I would imagine the hard points have been fixed. Slightly going off topic, but would anyone agree that the flip-flop between Romulan ships between levels (escort/cruiser) means that the D'deridex has an odd BO layout? I would suggest we get a C-store variant with…
I would suggest in addition to being able to recolour the UI, also have an option to select between Federation, Klingon and Romulan designs. Aside from that, I'd also suggest a slight re-design of the Romulan UI to make it a bit less block-y.
The "warp-clone" power (I'm not in a system instance so can't tell you the exact name) suffers from creating unusable clones - I used tier 4 of the power on my Mogai and although I got the spawns, only one ever did anything useful, and only fired a burst of fire once, so you might want to investigate the AI back-end.…
I've not noticed any real improvement/difference, though: > I've been more susceptible to rubber-banding. > issues with my client rendering the huge battle instances > Audio issues after a couple of hours game play, ranging from not getting VO to having only the background ambient sound on it's own without anything else.
I'd say Romulans would be experimenting with Androids, but probably more like the droids from Star Wars rather than Data. They're experimenting with Borg-inspired tech left right and centre. A few 'droids wouldn't be out the question either. After all (SPOILER): In the new Romulan missions you're essentially borg-ifying a…
You're finding it TOO EASY?!? ...wait till you're doing the new Romulan stuff. Boy do you go through consumables like Ben & Jerry's ice cream... Hmm..... ice cream.... *gargling noise*
They might not be on the same server, but they'll be on the same network. It might be worth Cryptic getting two ISPs - one for the websites, and another for the games.
Which is what I have tried, but I can't do an exact match. She was FAR better with the pre-open beta look, which IIRC was head 1 but with the spots texture. I've fudged it with head 2 but even so, I much preferred the original look. Which brings me onto another point; why can't we change the spots look?
I've brought the starter pack mainly for the Liberated Borg and Warbird retrofit. I'll get the D'deridex retrofit from the C-Store but apart from that none of the others look particularly appealing. Apart from the Scimitar, which will either be a 5K package or the Romulan Lock Box ship. :P
It's something to stretch the system. "Decorated" is probably a better term... Most captains never reach Admiral, so the fact that over 3/4 of the players I see are Admiral...
I have a query. If you purchase the $20 Starter pack, what happens when you purchase the $124 Legacy pack? Do you get refunded the difference, given in-game Zen or get a discount on the Legacy pack?
So they did. Part of the issue, however, is that I didn't check the forums that often then (too much whining) and I didn't see anything about it in-game. Also, I'm surprised there wasn't anything about it from event officials or anything on the event website. Uuugh. That event was the worst thing I've ever been to,…
There was one - "Destination Star Trek London". Linky. And no, STO didn't attend. CBS and Paramount did, IIRC. Biggest ST event since the one in Germany, several years ago. Unfortunately, a lot of our European events are much more miniscule - often conference-room sized.
But there's already a tier 5. It's the starter ship; just re-fit it with appropriate gear and you're good to go. :P On a serious note, you do realize Miranda's are not exactly the strongest of ships, right? They died with pretty much one shot while defending the Defiant in DS9. EDIT: proof
I think Lifers should get something extra added in, though something only for vanity - like, for example, cloaks. The ground kind. Not the "I'm going to hide my ship" kind. Or maybe a nice new scaling (uneven only) rifle, perhaps as seen on TNG/TNG films.
