A lot of folks are counting down to Pax East as well, or Blizzcon, ComicCon etc. Most all of those announcements are also about something new that is coming to us in the future. Why someone expects a countdown to be a full fledged patch with everything ready to go is comical.

My only complaint about this is having to wait until sometime in May! Very impressed with Cryptic/PWE right now. They are completing the Klingon 1-20 storylne, while adding another entire faction that can be played from 1-50. Totally overhauling the UI so people can pick and choose. My personal guess is that the announcement will be an actual full on Romulan Expansion with a price tag and shiny bits in the c-store. A lot of F2P games do this and I think STO needs to as well. Northern California myself, Pleasanton area with a brief stint in San Jose. I did live in Washington for 2 years in Olympia and Puyallup but the weather was a deal breaker for me and I quickly returned to California. Addicted to the sun I guess, beaches and hiking with 80% less mud! :cool:

Exactly and I think a lot of folks forget about that. Regardless I would be happy to pay for additional story content and expansion areas over ships. Well in one of the recent podcasts they do mention creating a KDF ship with broadside capabilities. Which to me would be the ultimate ship. I'm a Warhammer 40K fanboi as well though so the idea of having a true battleship that can unleash an amazing broadside or wedge attack and broadside two ships at once is pure win. :D
