This isn't about supporting the mac platform. It's because they want to support PS4 and Xbox One. To bad that it will likely be dead on arrival since no one can transfer their characters.

https://secure.crypticstudios.com/startrek/login I see a handy dandy 500 internal server error when trying to login here. This is most certainly the cause since that would appear to be the gateway to cryptic. I am going to guess that there is a segmentation fault, a flood, or a resource constraint.

Same exact thing here. Everything was fine Wednesday, patched today all sorts of artifacting on the load screen. I rebooted once and I was able to load earth space dock to find massive artifacts all over the place. No problems anywhere else with anything else. Windows 8 x64 16GB of Ram
