What it means is the basic event version will be the usual standard, but "for a small price" you too can own the FULL PILOT VERSION that the original T6 should have been. Essentially they are finding yet another way to cash in on the players. :|

To remove EC from the game you need a process which "destroys" that EC, not one that transfers it to another system (like the Exchange does).
