I've got this, and I think the game thinks my ship is a shuttle with its terrible shield modifier because my Omega Force Shield Array Mk XII now only has like 4000-something shields.

Free to Play accounts have a 10 million energy credit cap. You can buy a credit cap increase from the zen store, and it's something I'd really recommend any free to play player does. I'm afraid you wont get those lost credits back either.
