Again it's not a bug fix it's a nerf. I would have been fine with a fix that made it so each torp procs only once on each target when used with torp spread. Instead they are making it so each torp procs once on only your main (selected) target. This means KLW won't work with torp spread anymore. I suppose it's only a…
The Iconians were mentioned in the Romulan arc ground episode where you escape from prison with the Reman guy. That episode has been around a long time. I think it's at the part where you go through Hakeev's computer. I believe Hakeev refers to them as his "Dread Masters" or something.
Every copy of kemocite is purchased from Cryptic. It doesn't matter if you bought your copy off the exchange, or if you bought your keys off the exchange. Every key is purchased by a player, which means they are paid items. Every copy of Kemocite is from a lockbox opened by a key. Every copy of kemocite in the game is a…
Again to quote crypticrock: We're making a similar change to Kemocite-Laced Weaponry, where Torpedo: Spread will only trigger one Kemocite Explosion for each torpedo which hits the main target. The spread-based Kemocite Explosions will also deal increased damage compared to the Kemocite Explosion from a standard torpedo.…
I'm going to quote myself now, because apparently you didn't read what I said earlier. "It's not a fix, it's a nerf. I wouldn't be angry if they fixed it. The problem was double-proc: each torp in a torp spread was proccing multiple times on each target. The fix for this would be to make each torp proc a single time on…
It's immoral and illegal to sell an ability that works well to drive up sales, and then once you've made the money change it so it doesn't work well anymore. I can survive without KLW, but I'm not going to continue to pay money into a company that engages in illegal and immoral business practices to drive up demand for a…
It's not arrogance, it's an educated guess. The servers running the game don't have good GPU's in them, if they have GPU's in them at all. You can't run a modern game on most server boards because the focus is on CPU and RAM, not graphics. When KLW goes off, all that happens on the servers is a handful of math…
It's not a fix, it's a nerf. I wouldn't be angry if they fixed it. The problem was double-proc: each torp in a torp spread was proccing multiple times on each target. The fix for this would be to make each torp proc a single time on each target. Instead they are nerfing it - by making each torp proc a single time on the…
It's not about over-reliance. It's about KLW being a paid for ability. Cryptic has ample time to test lockbox items before releasing them - changing it after selling it to thousands of players is bait and switch. This is illegal. They sold it to us, now they should commit to it.
I've never had lag while using KLW. I've also been in groups where multiple people have been using it (CCA for example) and not had any lag. But I have a nice PC with a nice graphics card. I suspect the lag is caused by your graphics card not being able to handle all the extra particle effects. That's your problem, not…
This is what dev "crypticrock" posted in another thread: "Just a quick heads-up here, we're making some changes to the functionality of Quantum Phase Torpedo and how it interacts with Torpedo: Spread. As many of you are aware, a Quantum Phase Torpedo Spread currently triggers a shield drain AoE for each torpedo which hits…
Can anyone link a dev post on this? Has it changed for BFAW? My understanding was that it was double-proccing on single hits and that was what was going to be fixed. I also thought it was intended that since BFAW hits multiple targets that each hit on a target should have a chance to proc. Nerfing it to only proc on your…
sto.gamepedia.com/Sets That's not up to date, but it has the stats and set info on most of the sets in the game. On my NIcor I use the Nukara engine and shield for the 2-piece damage bonus, the Delta Alliance Deflector for the power bonuses, and the Ancient Obelisk warp core and omni-beam for the 2-piece AP damage bonus.…
I'm pretty sure that's not the case. I will have to check but I'm pretty sure Multi-Vector Assault, Quantum Field Focus Controller, and Tachyon Detection Grid are all 3 minutes. I haven't flown my Nebula or Vesta in a long time though, so they might have changed. I will check later today. I think most of the gimmicky…
IMO the Arbiter Battlecruiser is the tankiest fed ship. Not only do you get 5 engineering consoles, the ablative hazard shielding console is surprisingly effective. When I tried it out, it pretty much made me invulnerable for a short time. It gives you a second shield on top of your normal one, and any damage absorbed by…
It looks like it's $6 a month and you can try one week for free. I will probably wait until the new Star Trek is out to try my one week free. If it's any good I will pay the sub. I already have Netflix and this is cheaper, but I don't know what CBS's library is like. I might just keep both depending on how it is.
The only thing I hate more than dumbed down action television like JJ Trek is when the writer and/or producer decides to inject political doctrine into their TV show and force feed it to the audience. Most everything that comes out of Hollywood is liberal, and what they think is wrong isn't necessarily what is actually…
The producer is Alex Kurtzman who worked with JJ Abrams on Into Darkness. Kurtzman was also a writer for Hercules: The Legendary Journeys which aired alongside Xena: Warrior Princess back in the day. I watched Hercules back when I was a kid. For one it was one of the few shows I could watch with a pair of rabbit ear…
It didn't automatically pop up or anything for me. I had to click on the current day in the calendar to accept the mission and then transwarp to it from there.
I think it would do a lot of good, as it would encourage more open price competition on the exchange. Not everyone uses the trading channel, and not everyone knows the real price of something priced over 500 million EC. I agree the concept of supply and demand doesn't change if the EC cap is increased, so why not? If…
It would be nice if: 1. Exchange limit was 1b 2. Inventory EC limit was 1b 3. Maximum transaction limit was 1b 4. Bank can hold 1 trillion EC 5. Excess EC gained over 1b went straight to character's bank account Best of both worlds. Exchange is able to handle all transactions so buyers know they are getting a good deal,…
S11 broke everything. Mirror Leeta is more terrifying than T'Ket - she has destroyed Fleet Alert, Nukara, Defera, DOff missions, Caitian and Joined Trill captains. Soon she will glitch ESD so no one can dock, then crash the exchange so all our items disappear, and then ban the devs from the forums. The Iconians got nothing…
