I didn't used any dual beam banks in my escort. I had 6 Phaser Beam Arrays and a Proton torpedo launcher on a patrol escort. I broadsided the whole fight and occasionally did a swing to fire the torpedoes. I think 7 beam arrays should also work very well.

I had a beam escort before I switched to a Voth Bastion Cruiser. I was placed 1st in Starbase 24 a whole lot of times with it (90% of cases I would guess). It's also very good for 1vs1, you can simply outmaneuver any other escort and fire the whole time ;-).

Hi, I have got the Bastion in a lock box and I now asking myself how to equip it most efficiently. So what would be better: 6x Voth Antiproton Beam Array 1x 360 degrees Antiproton Beam Turret (the set one, which gives you +10% Antiproton damage) 1x Kinetic Cutting Beam or: 5x Voth Antiproton Beam Array 1x 360 degrees…
