Yes. It is bugged that way, but by scanning the particle by the Mark Valentine memorial by the Golden Gate Bridge on instance 8 at SFA, the Sol System space mission completes.
I'm playing on a 2013 13" MacBook Air with the Haswell i5, Intel HD 5000 graphics, an SSD, and 8 gb of ram. I run Windows 8.1 on a Bootcamp partition and have STO installed on both my OS X and Windows partitions. (On my mac side, it is on the SSD, and it's installed on an external hard drive for windows) It works like a…
I figure that I probably didn't win. I just find it odd that no winner was announced. Normally they do it in the order of announcing the winner and the privately notifying the winner of how to claim the prize.
I use the Assimilated deflector and Assimilated Engines along with a fleet adaptive resilient shield array on my Odyssey and Dyson. With the two piece bonus of the assimilated set, I get to use the autonomous hull regenerator and the shields can absorb a ton of damage. I use the full assimilated set on my Chel Grett, and…
One thing that I'm surprised hasn't come up yet is exploration. Star Trek was about exploration from the start, yet there is none of it left in game (save for the foundry). A new exploration system has to be a priority.
I am a vegetarian because of the ethics of killing animals and for health reasons. Based on what we hear from the Star Trek universe, replicated food is rearranged atoms (not dead animals) and nutritionally perfect. So I would eat replicated meat as it does not concern me ethically or health wise.
Captains had tons of paperwork! What else was Picard doing in his ready room all day long? :D Seriously, they had to submit mission reports to starfleet command, approve crew reports, fill out evaluation forms, approve crew transfers, approve maintenence schedules, approve and file flight plans, the list goes on. I do…
It's all about optimization. In my fleet credit Oddy, I placed first in the Crystalline Entity event 6/14 times and never placed out of the top three. This was on teams comprising of Schimitars, Defiants, Avengers, Vestas, and other assorted "more functional" ships. The Odyssey is the flagship and all of its versions…
Thanks for the response. It's nice to hear a Community Moderator weigh in and explain the process. The person you responded to had a related but different one from mine. I would really enjoy the game that much more if we had such SHOFF system. Hopefully the Devs already have this on the drawing board! Thanks, OP
Just like the DOFF system there should be missions of different durations. I put in more of a basic concept for ship types, but I agree that all ship types should be represented,
Agreed completely. Because this is simply an extension of the DOFF system, it should be relatively easy to program (does not need to be built from scratch) and easy to get working reliably. And there's no need for new commendation ranks. We can earn the same diplomatic, trade, marauding, colonization, exploration,…
I don't think we are going to back to being commanders/captains. Since we are admirals, we should be able to be admirals. But I do believe that anybody who wants to act like a commander/captain should have the right to be addressed as such and act as such in game. But that's another noble cause to fight for.
Banned for expecting that nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition (I love Monty Python, though). And retrobanning cmdrscarlet for being too fast on the draw/type.
Lol. Thanks for showing me that. Didn't know that thread existed. Let's get enough support for this idea and we can claim our inalienable right to be admirals! :D Really with enough support, we can bring this to the Devs' attention.
