  • OK, fair point. But, a developer having to use find and replace to update the same exact number by hand through their code in order to change a constant is indicative of something. If the engine has limitations that to this day haven't been expanded, again, that's rushed engine work by the people who created the game…

  • All true, but the counterpoint to that is that after a while of that happening people would be building in order to prevent their own death. As it stands now people are already being carried while doing nothing... especially if they're doing no damage. Its like their not there because the AI won't even hit them...
  • Well, he has spoken. Its not going to happen because its not worth the resources. At least he answered. Thanks for telling us. Basically, if you're looking for challenging AI that actually require skill and a wide variety of captain/bridge officer abilities you will not find them. Most of the player base doesn't care.
  • But taking his suggestion to heart would make people have to actually think about whether or not they want to survive a little longer, or just put out more Dakka! :D If your ET1/ST1 can't remove everything it used to, and can only resist the effects for a time, you're going to have to consider giving something else up.
  • That's exactly what I got from the OP's post, the ability to totally clear debuffs should be relegated to higher levels of the team abilities. It would mean people wouldn't be able to throw random points into things and get all the resistances, and it would mean using ET/TT/ST 2 or 3 would be a serious consideration…
