One addition to the rubble strewn map would have to be disco balls, lots of them. Bajor is a hub for disco. This should be reflected in this new map. It's the one of many things they adopted from the noble Cardassians. There are fleets that have demonstrated this shared love of disco to try and bring peace between the two…
I do like the idea of Cardassians reclaiming their former planet after the destruction. Perhaps a few Bajoran's survive the disaster and come to realization that Dukat was right all along. Bajor is then renamed Dukat Prime in his honor. A thriving, peace loving society is born out of the chaos.
It really depends on the pub manager. The JD Wetherspoon website has this info: "Children (under 16 years) We welcome children in our pubs, until a set time each evening. This time is set at a local level, by the pub and its licence, so will vary from pub to pub; that said, it will usually be during 5?9pm. To avoid…
As Cryptic no longer read the forums and act on customer feedback, the simplest way to communicate our disatifaction would be to stop buying into the ripoff culture of this game. If profits drop, they might actually take some interest in what the playerbase wants.
I think this isn't a huge issue on it's own. Understandably, people get a little frustrated when there is a lack of communication concerning certain changes or issues within the game. If PWE could bit a little more forthcoming regarding certain decisions and current bugs, I think that would go a long way in restoring trust…
I understand the need to generate revenue for F2P, but lockboxes do not seem like the correct way to go. Instead of introducing gambling to this game in the form of these boxes, it would be preferable to introduce the items from lockboxes to the C-Store instead. PWE are turning Star Trek Online into a gambling simulator…
Cryptic do know about the issue. I submitted a ticket after a number of people in my fleet started to mention this and the PWE support team got back to say the devs are looking into this. All we can do is remain paitent and let the devs fix it.
In relation to the down time 2pm until 4pm are not generally prime hours for STO in the UK during the week Typically, a number of UK fleet members and friends tend to play the game in the evening from 5pm onwards, so this down time still leaves enough hours for us to play. I understand we all got frustrated, but the dev…
The work around detailed by other players doesn't actually work all the time. Sold items often remain behind. In any case, the devs really need to communicate common bugs and any work arounds to the player base rather than leaving it to us to work it out amongst ourselves. It shows poor communication and a complete lack of…
I would fix the numerous bugs with this game. After this, I would turn my attentions to adding more episodes for both the Federation and Klingon factions. As this game is F2P, I can't see a way to remove lockboxes or lower prices in the c-store as these are big money earners for the game. Without them, the whole operation…
Yep, it is broken as sold items are still showing in the search results. I have raised a ticket about this problem and recieved a reply from PWE stating their support team don't know what the issue is and to keep an eye on these forums. All we can do is wait.
Traliers shouldn't advertise a feature which isn't actually working. If an advert on TV or radio did such a thing a body like OFCOM in the UK would take action. Trailers should be representive of the product whilst also drumming up interest. Otherwise, it would be like trying to sell a ham sandwich without the ham.
The section regarding the foundry should have been left out until it is actually working again. In fact, the trailer should not have been released until some of the game wrecking bugs have been addressed. Want to use the exchange? Sorry, that doesn't work.
I raised a support ticket concerning the issues with the exchange and recieved the standard response template asking me to verify game files, turn off on demand patching etc. Of course, I have followed their advice and reported back. I know this issue is experienced by everyone in my fleet and the Star Trek Online twitter…
Season 6 is far too bug ridden right now for me to enjoy it. As soon as Cryptic correct the long list of errors caused by the update, I'll enjoy it alot more.
It really seems like a small issue to leave the game over. If you have privacy concerns, contact PWE for more information regarding account guard. If this doesn't satisfy you, contact law enforcement. Data protection breaches are taken very seriously and often result in considerable fines if a company is found to be liable.
I can see the promise season six offers to fleet play, but do not think it is enough to bring back old players in the long term. What people have been asking for are more story missions and to improve content for the KDF faction. Both of these look a long way off. They also need to fix the exchange as the primary economy…
I'm afraid the people from Starfleet Dental do go a step further than just spamming fire extinguishers and party poppers. Many people on Drozana, DS9 and Bajor have been targetted by spam mail. In one case, a KDF player recieved over 4000 messages in their inbox, all of which were pretty offensive. This wasn't just the…
No matter what time they schedule maintenance, someone in the world will be affected by it. I guess they schedule down time based on player numbers at given times. Midnight on a Friday is probably the best time to do it without causing the majority of the player base to cause an uproar.
It isn't surprising the servers are straining under the mass amount of connection attempts coming in in such a small amount of time. Might be a good idea to contain your excitement and wait a little longer. I'm not even going to try and login until tommorow at the earliest.
That's sound advice for the workplace or an educational setting, but it doesn't really apply to a video game. STO for the majority is about having fun, taking a break from documentation and training, and enjoying an escapist environment. The moment a game becomes just another piece of work, it isn't really a game anymore.…
