According to the video, STO is following a very good path of player satisfaction and profits. If anything, it solidifies Cyptic and PWE actions of F2P and avoiding of renting items. Could you image STO requiring you to rent your ship or weapons. Then all you complainers of Pay 2 win would finally have a valid point. :P
it's all about the hull and shield heal with increased threat generation since it boost overall dmg resistance. But if i had to choose, first see how they stack with some trail runs to find out your answer. Cause does plasma stack???
If your only game play is on pve, then yeah it makes on difference. But don't come crying when you come to pvp and find that those same tricks don't work. The idea is to make torps relevant in all game play. Not just against a laughable pve AI.
I agree with the weapon power thing, but think that It should be powered by aux instead. There by making cannons a tac option, torps a science option, and eng a mix for both. add-on: Though that last idea may be the best, with increase of hull energy resistance thus making torps more practical.

Nope it's the damage I worry about. You have about 2-3 seconds to react to the damage or die. edit: Usually only RSP can save you or a combo of TT, EPTS, and TS. Anything less and boom.
Its the same with the trics, it is OP, the best way to fix this is fixing chain crits. You can still survive one hit of that crit caliber, not a chain of them though.
