Probably fell off due to more essential fixes being required. It is a somewhat esoteric issue. Just hoping that by necro'ing the thread, it pops back up on the dev's radar.
Not concerned in the slightest with the Eclipse's performance. Seems fine as-as. Was only a polite suggestion concerning the scale of the model itself. Seems off to my eyes. Did not intend to incite an argumentative thread.
This sounds just about perfect to me in terms of scale. Look... I don't want to make things more difficult than they have to be. As a compromise; if altering the Eclipse model is too problematic... just increase the size of everything else by 25-50%.
This. A thousand times this. For those that dislike JJTrek... absolutely nothing has changed for you. S'all good. Keep on Trekkin' on with Prime. Thoroughly enjoy the JJ time tree in equal measure to the Original Universe. Never been shy about that fact. Also never have been able to adequately reconcile the vitriol. Just…
Missing texture still exists (or does not exist, as it were) as of 08.07.14 maintenance. I am positive there are a number of issues with appropriately higher priority than this particular graphics artifact. Simply relaying that the issue remains.
Been a while since I checked the other saucers, and you are absolutely correct: only the Gryphon saucer with Tempest hull appears to currently be experiencing see-through transparency/missing textures. Appreciate the head's up. Confirmed issue remains on Tempest hull/Gryphon saucer as of this post.
On further examination it appears the entire 'overlay' is shifted to port (almost completely off the model) and floating high above the 'hull'. No windows whatsoever are apparent on the front 50% of the model. The artifacts could be portions of the escape pod decals which would normally appear on the starboard dorsal side…
What will be the fate of any half-completed reputation console projects (e.g. slotted, partially filled) when the new rep system goes live? I realize simple answer would be to complete prior to go-live... but not enough Dilithium yet is not enough Dilithium yet. Changes seem much more efficient going forward. Bittersweet…
I presumed the very fact that it is a privately created mesh (and not IP of a large production house) would make it more accessible. Though admittedly I have zero insight into how Cryptic goes about acquiring such, or if it would even be on the table for consideration. Meh... Its a "dream" thread. Would still like to see…
A bit surprised I've seen no mention of the Diligent. If it was discussed and I missed it somehow, apologies. http://www.sttff.net/ships/magellan.html Expanded universe, gorgeous lines. Not the canon saucer/engineering hull config, but not too organically curved to stray far from. Reminds me somewhat of a compressed…
This point about cruiser-comparative durability is certainly salient. I don't personally tend to look at ENG console slots as strictly homes for resistance or armor mods, though I imagine that they are most often utilized for such. Power redistribution and enhanced maneuverability are more aligned with my (perhaps flawed)…
