Those make me think of a carrier more than the Jupiter does. I'm not dissin the Jupiter, but as someone who has spent a good portion of his life serving on and working around aircraft carriers, that is my honest opinion.
SWTOR is a space MMO, the comparison is valid. You can't just say it isn't because you don't think it's fair. But I will agree, DTO does have the better space barbie ;)
I think they should have changed it to a bit of a role playing thing. Have a little crew window that gives the status of what's going on on your ship with your crew. It's wouldn't affect stats, but could be a fun little diversion. Not everything needs to be designed make things blow up faster.
I suspect this skill revamp will have a great many "stealth" and not so "stealth" nerfs. It's probably one of the reasons for the revamp. Take care of all of the skills that they devs view as "problematic". You didn't get nerfed...it's just the changes to damage the skills do in the new system... ummm...what's the…
It's even sadder for them to come in and say they fixed it and didn't (Callisto's). What they need to do is institute a credit back to people who have payed a lot of in game FC and Dilithium for these Edsels.
Yup, I have a temporal science ship I would love to move to my new Sci...but I refuse to sell a kidney on the Exchange to get one. Of course without reading the thread...I suspect the exchange profiteers will hate this idea.
Lot's of people try to claim THEIR definition is the only definition of MMO. Some of the most obvious and ones that cause many a flamewar. "MMO means forced grouping" "MMO's must have 'raids'" Which is dumb, MMO means "Massive Multiplayer Online" The only thing there is lots of people and online. You have to squint pretty…
I'm amazed how many people like mindless toil. It also goes to show you, no game mechanic is so bad that you can't find people willing to line up to defend it.
I used to hear the phrase "we've always don't it this way" at work (when the old way was wrong/bad)...I hated it then...it's just as bad when applied to gaming.
There is no argument, you are blindly supporting an objectively bad game component, pointless "content" designed to waste time and make your expansion look bigger. If you cut out those stupid patrol missions Delta Rising would have HALF the number of missions it currently does. Encouraging lazy and deceptive practices is a…
How can you outright lie like that? They are marginally attached to the story at best...ergo they slowdown the real story. Some of them have the seed of an interesting mission, but none are actually interesting. But I'm not surprised, I've long since learned certain "fans" will defend absolutely anything, no matter how bad.
Really, ? Allow me to quote myself from earlier in this thread... He is level 57, and currently my primary character I'm playing. Confucius say: "A closed mouth gathers no foot".
Well they decided to slow down leveling and we got the 50-60 grind...they decided to lengthen Delta Rising...we got like 6 forced patrol missions. Sorry...just not optimistic when Cryptic decides to "change" things.
I apologize for the incoming nerf. I've played MMOs for many years and have developed a super power. If I start a powerful class, it will be nerfed in short order... I started a Sci captain 3 weeks ago.
You guys can pretend to ignore me if you want, but no one is obligated to subsidize you, your bots and your 15 accounts gaming. And the fact that this thread even exists shows a staggering amount of entitlement.
Why do the people who make and support these threads think most people care about others not subsidizing their gaming? On fact, I bet most laugh at your tears. entitled much?
