This seems to be resolved now. But I don't know what did it. It just started working out of the blue. I never saw it as something said to have been fixed though. Sometimes the registry does not display on the ship screen at random. That small issue affects for both of my toons. I can live with that though.

I already tried changing mine to 768 in game options (it still crashed on 1024+) and haven't had time to really test it yet.
