Ah well. I'm not surprised it had been thought up before, though. There are some very intelligent people that play and really love this game. Like the OP, I just thought it would be nice to get your BOFF's a bit more involved.
I've had an idea for BOFF's myself. How about a mission where the Captain (You) gets injured and is incapacitated. To complete the mission, you have to play as your First Officer, using only the equipment you have supplied him/her with. If you have upgraded your BOFF, the better chance you will have/more rewards you will…
1. Options that change all on their own. 2. Cut scenes in the middle of an STF. I finally come out of that to discover I was killed in the meantime. 3. Crafted items that are nowhere near as good as any of the Rep or Lock Box items. I worked hard to be able to get my crafting maxed out, but the items do not reflect that.…
I would like to add that I cannot auto-navigate from Sherman's Planet to the Federation Starbase. Also, on some of my characters, not all, I cannot transwarp to the Alpha Quadrant. Not sure if this is a level induced restriction or another type of restriction based on episode play, though.
Actually no. I have all of my characters based around DS9 for the sole reason that this is the only place I've found with a Trader that I can obtain Gamma Quadrant commodities from. I need these commodities for the high-end DOFF missions to convert into Fleet Marks for my fleet. Believe me, I would much rather spend my…
I know how you feel. I'm building a fleet more or less alone myself and dilithium is the biggest bottleneck. Don't get me wrong, I've had a lot of help in the past with the projects, but no one wants to give up dilithium as it's far too valuable a commodity. And I just can't keep throwing RL money into the game for it.
While I understand the way the game is made, i.e. only two factions, I personally think that they could more than recoup their money if they put the time and effort into expanding the game. They could do several factions and make a fortune with new players, returning players and cool stuff that has to be payed for, no…
I had the sane problem. I deleted some of my older ships that I no longer fly and when I went back to my normal ship 90% of my traits had been removed. Also, earlier today I replaced a ship console with a different one. Later on, for some reason, I couldn't remember the original console, so I clicked on the loadout, as I…
I would as well, but I don't see it happening. Unfortunately, the bridges in STO are more or less irrelevant. No matter how much I wish this would change, it really isn't possible. I understand the reasons behind it, so I no longer bug the devs about it.
You want to solve this? Increase supply. The problem with lock boxes is the extremely low probability of actually scoring one of these ships. Why waste EC or actual money gambling when you know your not going to get anything worthwhile? I'm speaking from experience here. I quit opening lock boxes years ago because I was…
I'm having the same problem. Started getting terrible lag last night and again this morning. Logged off for a bit and now the game won't load. Finally got it to the Cryptic screen, but it still will not load. Honestly not sure what to do.
I had this argument with a guy on ESD yesterday. He wanted Cryptic to step in and lower the pricing on the Exchange. He had no idea how the free market works. It wasn't "Fair". Welcome to the real world!
