sure, I assume there are also lvl 20 captains out there having great fun and haven't even heard of the things we are discussing here. Doesn't mean talking about that problem isn't worth it. In fact, making certain consoles less fundamental (by not being stackable) would precisely have the effect you mentioned. "I suspect…
the precise reason I wrote this post is that almost always, it is the best option for your build to stack locators/exploiters. Of course you can ignore that, or you simply don't have a build around energy weapons. The fact remains that most clicky consoles (while having cool effects), add vastly less power to your build…
I appreciate your clear response. look at energy weapon meta builds... You will see a lot of locator/exploiter stacking going on, that would make "1." a fact not an opinion. I should have made clear though that "ignoring the majority of consoles that exist" should actually read "ignoring the majority of TACTICAL consoles…
I'm not trying to force anything onto other players, but the gist of the comments I get is that fun is subjective, which is true of course, but you can objectively say that being able to stack the identical item is lazy (bad) game design... Why? Because you can completely ignore the majority of consoles that exist or that…
yeah, not really true. Each locator/exploiter adds the same amount of raw dps to your weapons, from the first to the last...same with all cat 1 dmg boosts...only diminishing return in this game is with armor, since reaching 100% dmg reduction from armor would be too easy and obviously game breaking. Easily testable in game…
doesn't change the fact that most other consoles from rep and crafting are basically useless (compared to), or you are gimping yourself using it. limiting each console to "unique" simply makes other consoles and console sets (more) viable. To be clear, they literally designed whole sets of consoles to sell with a ship…
I thought of making more available consoles more useful, like the ones that are given to you from the reputation system. These consoles were introduced with some factions, but really have no place in the game other than early endgame and some exotic builds (I guess). Or the crafted ones, normal and the special ones.
in this game, loot drops make little to no sense...none of the drops serve an actual purpose. It ain't relevant gear, the batteries are the worst items for the slot and the commodities are vendor trash. They are not only immersion breaking, but even gameplay breaking with their continuous pop ups and additional glowy-glow.…
Yes, seems that white on white is the default option for polls...as I said, the new forum UI is horrible. Also, even in "edit" mode I can't seem to find a recolour option.
I loved that calender, but not for the information it gave...but for the completely bugged nature of it...literally had an April, 32nd one time shortly before they removed it.
to be fair...Cryptic has a fairly convenient solution to that problem...NO FAIL CONDITIONS. No matter what, you can't fail the mission. Takes longer, but it will eventually be a success.
While there is only one server, there are regional hosting servers (honestly don't know the correct name but it says "gameplay proxy") You can choose them from the options in the launcher. Currently there is US and EU.
to be honest though...many of the standalone consoles for AP are so strong on their own (and almost exclusively from past events), including them into sets would seriously make AP meta gain. But I can see what you mean...no real reason (other than those are pretty strong already on their own) why the consoles from the…
really would like to see something like those Voth shields for players...single reflected BO kills me. Have to hammer ESC everytime I see them raising their uber shields.
it is alive alright, but considering that it was almost a vicitm of the chopping board tells me, it lives on borrowed time... no update...ever...literally, there has never been an update like a new map, unless you consider that one faction grind and mission where you shoot at other player at the end an update to PVP.…
would already be enough if the first tier of the ship trait was switched with the last tier. That way, claiming the ship would unlock it for that character.
yeah the launcher switches through 5 topics or so. If you ain't watching it for at least 1 minute, you'll miss it. I'm actually not even surprized that they fail at communicating their basic events...they literally got the calender wrong. There was a 31. April this year in the calender or something like that. They didn't…
