I can confirm it too. :( In fact, I came here searching for this exact problem after I noticed it in the game. I hope they'll manage to sort it out quickly... I have invested in items worth ~50m EC, and can't sell them at the moment. :( Also, Exchange is among the last few things that keep me logging in regularly.
^^^ This strikes me as an excellent idea. :) Of course there are also the bridge officer stations, but I think it actually never made any sense that those are 'fixed' somehow. What invisible power would hold back a captain who can reconfigure everything else on the ship from making changes to the bridge stations? At…
I think that might have happened purposefully. I mean, they probably know that they pretty much milked the current player base as far as they can also, old players are increasingly demanding and not so easy to excite. So it might seem logical to them from a financial/pragmatic perspective to shift the focus to potential…
Well, after getting a Regent for 2500 zen, and then getting the fleet version for an additional ship module only through saving ingame , I actually feel that paying would have hurt much less. Would have been much less time involved that way... :( (I hope that at the very least the devs will appreciate people's intention…
I welcome the new content; to be honest, Voyager was my favorite series, and I never saw any reason for the widespread dismay about it. But as I stated elsewhere, I don't understand the need for even more ships, especially a whole new tier... There are still a lot of things to improve and problems to solve, which would…
I think part of the concern is that the developers will make canon ships much more obsolete, and players will be forced to use 'oddly' designed ships for which they have no feelings. Which would be kind of like making a Stargate game that 'evolves and changes' to make stargates obsolete. So, as much as it is true that MMOs…
I'm not fan of new ships in general (there would be much more important improvements to be made IMO), but I have to admit that all of the concept arts look refined and well-made to me; much better than the Dyson ship, I would say.
I hope the devs will improve/optimize the graphics engine and many aspect of the game mechanics as well, because otherwise pretty soon there will be no point in adding more content...
New T6 ships? Nonsense, if you ask me. I don't need any new ships, nor new levels of items. I need decent game mechanics and better overall game quality to be able to use ships and other items with a good level of immersion. Space maps are still basically 2D, ship bridges are still void of real use and completely…
My reasons for playing: 1) Star Trek theme 2) Trading and generating profit 3) Collecting stuff (still not completed my fleet regent build) I started to play the game roughly one year ago. Getting to know the game and doing combat was fun first, but I quickly got disillusioned by the essentially 2D sector space, the…
I also came across this problem a few days ago; quite irritating. I was just starting to get interested in trying out different sets of traits, but it's a real pain that I can't set them up while doffing and trading on my cell ship bridge. Seems like a totally unintended restriction.
Just to make an update: the DOFF missions gave 3000 at completion, so everything is all right. The regular 2000 is visible only before and during the DOFF mission.
Previously I was able to start it before the event started, and still get the increased rewards at completion. Anyhow, I can live with it if this option is no more. :) Though, meanwhile I tried the Defera invasion zone, and the new dilithium rewards don't seem to have been increased per the event description... Got 240 dil…
I really hope so, but as far as I remember it used to show the increased amount as soon as the event kicked in. I would love to hear some confirmation from people who completed a contraband doff mission since the current dil event started.
'Everywhere else in the game' still includes the Contraband doff missions? Because I started one, and it shows 2000 dil as usual. :( P.S. if the Contraband mission doesn't qualify anymore, I would like to know about it as soon as possible, to dump my Contrabands on Exchange before the price crashes. :)
To add my two cents too: I agree that the exploration cluster missions were not very good, but I think the resources should have been better spent on rewriting the exploration system instead of e.g. the crafting revamp. It would have been a much better match to the Star Trek setting generally. I don't remember seeing the…
Oh, I thought that the Ferengi discount and the cell ship discount was additive. Then the non-Ferengi characters get the same prices on the cell ship as the Ferengi characters?
Oh yes, good that you mention fleet projects. :) I tend to forget about the commodities in that regard. Usually I use DOFFs instead, because as far as I remember I calculated that cheap DOFFs off the Exchange have better EC / fleet credit ratio; but I could try to use more commodities with the convenient access of the cell…
Yeah, I thought about it too. Anyway, today the price dropped again to 53M. :) I still don't know if it is worth it, but it's less and less of a problem, as I managed to collect some additional ECs with favors and DOFF pack market fluctuations.
I see that not many people are interested in the cell ship's price, lol. Anyways, to continue the story: it's price is back to 65M; I don't understand why. Yesterday, when the lowest price was 50M and there were several others priced in the 50-60 range, someone seemed to grab a lot of cell ships abruptly, leaving the price…
Yeah, I thought about a complete reinstall, just don't want to strain their servers with that huge data transfer. Though, I will probably give it a try in the near future. (I did run the file checking thing, but it didn't seem to find any problem.) Anyone here tried a complete reinstall? I don't have many FPS problems…
Today I've seen multiple cell ships on the Exchange for 50M, also some for 49,900,000, and even one for 49M. So I think it will soon drop below 50. (Meanwhile the Tuffli is still 46M. I expected it to drop too, because the cell ship seemed generally more sought-after. But so far no drop on the Tuffli compared to pre-promo.)
Meanwhile I got one for 50 million. :) Will see if I keep it; I will keep close tabs on the prices. But I'm still interested hearing what do you consider reasonable price currently for this ship.
Same here. (What seem to make a considerable difference is turning off shadows and hiding the HUD (ALT+F12).) Also, I don't understand the relationship between the number of players (or player behavior) and performance, but when the Horga'hn event starts on Risa the game goes into slideshow. Usually there ain't that many…
