Ha! I'm sorry, I was imprecise with my wording on that one. My character is at 51 from following the story lines and I'm about 70% done with the Cardassian storyline. At this rate, I might be 60 before I ever *see* the Delta Quadrant. :D
I'm not, really. I just read the forums here and on Reddit and the first part of the game I concentrated on was the Exchange, so I had a couple of hundred million to sink into making my first 'real' ship fun. :D
I am using a set up close to that, but without the fleet goodies. The crafted Conductive RCS console with Resist B, a very rare Mk XII Neutronium console and the crafted Particle console that gives +shields, Resist A and big boost to particles.
Something to look forward to as I start my reputation grind. Though it looks like Omega rep is going to very easy, given that I already have 200+ marks laying around just from doing red alerts on my way to 50.
Thanks for the perspectives, folks. I went ahead and got the Aventine last night. It's very fun in missions, though I need to learn to play cannons, which provide a very different experience from my usual 'Grav Well & FaW' spam.
Thanks guys, those are useful bits of advice. I have to admit that I'm leaning heavily towards the Aventine because, well, the ship is just pretty. Even with the '50s living room paint job. :D
