I kept crashing as well, but after reading a chunk of comments I noticed that a trend seemed to be it crashed during combat. I made it through the mission mostly avoiding combat by sending my away team ahead, and that seemed to work. I don't know if it was luck or not, but it's something. Avoid combat, send away team…

I was playing through again and got stuck in Trapped as well. Looking back through the forum, this has apparently been a problem since 2010! At the very least, if they can't fix that part, build a workaround in.
