I'm glad to see more Romulan ships get the legendary treatment, but I'm a bit let down by this bundle. I agree with the previous comments suggesting a discount for players that own pieces of the bundle- had they done that I would be very inclined to purchase the pack. As is, with only a 35% intro discount, it's hard to…
A bummer that the officers are bind to character on pickup, perhaps they will drop that requirement in the future. Otherwise I'm quite on board with the pack for 6000 zen, 12k is a bit much...
I used my freebie to upgrade my Legendary Kelvin Connie and purchased the 3 pack to upgrade my miracle worker Disco Connie. I'm really happy with both, I'm getting a bit more oomf out of my phasers. Both are my favorite ships, though I think I will spend one of my remaining tokens to upgrade my TOS connie as well, can't…
Will these tokens work on T6 ships that already possess a universal console slot like the Discovery Connie? Ex: I use a token on my Disco Connie, will that give me 2 universal console slots for that ship?
After logging in today, I noticed that the bridge is now selectable on both ships. I have not seen anything in the patch notes addressing this, but it is wonderful to see that the issue was corrected and I'm very excited to use it!
As others have mentioned, I was very surprised that the suit was not classified as an environmental suit. I would have expected it to be, based on its appearance in the show- would be very pleased to see it reclassified in game as such. Either way, pretty neat piece of ground armor and I look forward to playing around with…
Personally, I wish that there were more missions that had us wander our bridge/ship. Perhaps they will eventually capitalize on the mechanic, as you stated. I was quite impressed with the interior though, and I enjoyed the mission a lot more than I expected to. I'm looking forward to what comes next.
I had been under the impression that we would see something on the 14th, but I think I may have been associating that with the new season being season 14 . I assume that there will be a news update somewhat prior to the giveaway/event though.
I was actually pretty pleased with this one. It gave me a faster route to acquiring the Latinum trophies. Still need to go back and get the other dabo accolades, but at least I've got the shiny stuff.
I have noticed several of the points brought up here, especially regarding the joined/left match queue group announcement. The new UI is slowly growing on me, but I dislike having to drop out of a queue if I realize that I want to add another mission to my queue group.
I recently noticed that I lost access to my Worf's sash from the Next Gen 25th Anniversary event. It is still attached to my diplomat uniform, but when I enter the tailor screen to edit the outfit, the sash disappears. Further, I no longer have the option to equip it on any other outfits. I contacted a GM about it, but…
I started back during the betas. I was hooked from the start, got my collector's edition and started my main character as soon as official access began. I took a hiatus about 2 years after launch after a glitch emptied my entire ship inventory. I lost all of my rep gear and things that I had worked since launch for, it…
I could use a vacation, if I could get the leave to go on one! Either way, can't argue with free so I threw my hat in the mix. Good luck to everyone who has entered.
I think there's a combination of the new system being a bit more time consuming to navigate and a lower number of players- or at least fewer people playing queues. That might be due to the summer event, which I skipped out on this year due to being active duty military. I hope that if they cannot find a way to revitalize…
I will agree that many of the recent missions feel formulaic, but I still enjoy the game. I enjoy flying new ships and working on my build, playing with some of the new weapons, etc that come out. I've been playing the game since the closed beta and I've enjoyed it every step of the way, though I did take a long hiatus a…
I just hit 16 today with a pickup group, untimed. Previously I had only reached 5, so it was a good run. 45 rounds is insane, great job to the team that managed that! Does anybody know if there is still a way to get the old Maru titles like Kirk's Protege?
In terms of variants, I personally enjoyed using the Xindi Phased Biomatter beams and Romulan Plasma beams. Both offered me a considerable damage boost at the time that I was using them, and the visuals were great. Since the Kelvin Lockbox dropped though, I have been using Kelvin phasers exclusively.
I'm not too broken up that my characters cannot be shared across platforms, but I am disappointed that my account unlocks do not carry over. That's a lot of money's worth of items that I'm accustomed to having access to that I cannot use. However, this has made my Xbox One STO experience much more reminiscent of the STO…
As others have said, projectiles= torpedoes and mines. Kinetic can kind of be considered a damage type unto itself, and weapons that deal kinetic damage (Borg Cutting Beam, torpedoes, mines) will state that they yield kinetic damage in their description. Cannons are their own weapon type, however to add to the fun we now…
My favorite is the Kelvin Constitution. The TOS and TMP/WOK Connies are also up there, but the Kelvin is definitely number one. I grew up with Next Gen and I really enjoyed TOS as a kid, the TOS connie was definitely my favorite ST ship then. However, as I got older I had a bit of a falling out with Trek, I would…
The deflector looked to be a bit different as well. I don't think it is drastically different, but it also did not get that much screen time. I'm planning on seeing the movie again in the near future and I'm sure some high res shots will surface soon enough- maybe then we can get a better idea of what is different. I think…
Not quite Beyond related unto itself, but I happened across these- perhaps in the future Cryptic may consider making a couple of these Kelvin ships? Personally I like the aesthetic a lot. I feel like a Yorktown/Kelvin themed expansion later down the road would be a great opportunity for the game. I know a lot of people…
