I also Have noticed this problem. Was unable to tell if the Spiral waves were actually firing but unseen or if it is just a broken visual but as above When Beam Fire at will is active Spiral waves are defiantly firing then.

I and many people i spoken to have similar in space. ship is flying along fine and suddnely stops for no reason. you can move fine in reverse but as soon as you go forawrd ship just stops again. even slipstream drive wont make it move

Same problem, got the pack on a Jioned Trill and only the top is avaliable. tried to see if my boffs were different and turns out couldnt get it on them either.
