    You need a game account in good standing to post in the rest of the forums.

    I am having the same problem. I can post in the Support and Welcome sections, but nowhere else.

    I even made an alternate account (this one), to my main account (screen: cptnroger) to try to get around this, but no luck.

    So please help, I haven't got the game yet, but I serve my fleet as an ambassador, so it is important that I can negotiate with other fleets about pacts, etc.

    I was in both the Closed and Open Beta's, so I hope that my account would be in good standing.

    I will be buying the game shortly, but I didn't have the time earlier.

    Please help.

    Good standing means you have purchased the game and have an active subscription.

    Pleas edit out your username. If any gold spammers were looking for accounts to hack, they now have half of your details.

    I was able to post on these forums even before the game was released. I think the Dev got his/her info wrong.

    Before the retail release, the main forums were open to anyone with an account. But after Launch, you do need an active retail key to post.

    Support forums are still open for obvious reasons.

    Standard forum practice. During open beta and headstart the forums are usually open in all sections
    After launch forums are changed so only those with valid active game accounts are able to post limiting it to those that have a vested interest in the game.

    The T/S section is open so those that have problems creating an account can post information on thier problems in hope of resolving the issue to they can have an active game account.

    You should have an account name and a handle. The handle in some cases are the same as the account name; this is bad and people who have this should contact Cryptic Billing Support and have it changed that way their account name is not displayed on the forums or in game.

    USSWasabi is not what I use to log into the forums or game; its only a handle.
