Disable Camera on target in space

Is there anyway to disable the camera while in space. It is very annoying for the camera to reorient on my target each time i let off the mouse.

If there is not a way to do this i know alot of people would apperciate one.

    I have the opposite problem, where I find it hard to get my camera to lock on. Maybe I'm just too active in using left mouse + right mouse to move my ship. You can try that.

    If not, double click on your targets instead of single clicking. This prevents auto-orientation, I believe.
