I'm a little late to comment here, but I find it amazing that some should think a longer-than-usual maintenance means we should get some sort of compensation!
Didn't they read the EULA/ToS when they signed up to play the game? This sort of thing is covered in there and it's a common thing for all online games to have regular maintenance, and sometimes it's longer than others.
Those other games playerbase seem to have no problem accepting a slightly longer maintenance, so why can't we?

Yup. PSO2 has a 6-8 hour maintenance EVERY WEEK, and the only compensation is an extension of 'paid for' perks that are time limited. You'd it being SEGA, it would be shorter!!
