as the title says ive been waiting forever to get my hands on the Iconian Iaidon capital ship for many years now and yet its never been released yet, also now that we have 2 Borg ships why not give players something like the Sphere or Diamond?

...but I also believe we, as players, should never have a playable Cube, Sphere, Diamond, or Probe.
there ya go! and ive seen many players use that ship. seems it can be done
Besides the Devs have said we're not likely to get the other Borg ships, and the community pretty much universally agrees that things like that are a sign of the Endtimes (even if it wouldn't be).
The Juggernaut got a pass because its Asymetric and was featured big time in a TNG episode.
The Assimilator got a pass because it has a defined front, and was the first playable ship from another game. (Star Trek Armada)
We MIGHT be able to fudge the Probe to be playable. I can't see anything beyond that.
Also, one of the Ten Forward shows talk about the problems with cubes and spheres as playable ships. One is that the game engine does not do the movements of Borg ships using the client controls well, instead of impressive they tend to look silly (like wabbling Styrofoam boxes) which is why most Borg ships (except the Probe) don't move in the game in the normal sense, they mainly just "warp" to a fixed position or just slowly float along using a different kind of movement control that would not be practical to put in the client. And trying to integrate them into the physics of normal ship movement, makes it even worse with the TNG style banking turns.
Ironically, in TOS the ships actually didn't bank on turns and moved more like the typical "UFO" than an aircraft, just watch the main viewscreen in the TOS (not TOS-Remastered) episodes if you want to see that in action. Also, behind the scenes information says that that movement wasn't one of the downsides of the production technology of the time, it was intentional because banking turns in space is not realistic, especially on a ship with artificial gravity where you don't have to vector the thrust to keep the floor in the "down" direction. But since the game was based more on the post-Star Wars craze for space opera style "airplanes in space" movement that the movies-and-Berman era shows used instead of the TOS "UFO" movement we are stuck with it.
What about the Iconian Iaidon? will that ship be available to players or is it just too big?
Its probably too big. While we do have ships like the Universe class and the Borg Juggernaut, they're size tends to be more... horizontal. The Iaidon... is TALL. Which would probably cause HAVOC with being able to SEE what you're shooting at. Even zoomed out all the way you'd probably have a face full of your own ship's backside, or an orbiting camera of nothing but beauty shots of your ship while tracking your target. Not exactly viable for a playable ship if ALL you can see is your ship. The Vomph is probably the best you can do for Iconian ships.
While I do agree it would feel like a last ditch effort, they could always do what sfc did...they had a turn indicator which always showed where the front of the ship was facing
Unfortunately the gameplay for STO is a bit more like Star Trek Legacy, and dear god flying a Borg ship in that game was disorienting.
I would have liked an Iaidon, but you make a good point. While I'm always on the lookout for another big ship (no coincidence that I picked up three dreadnoughts in the latest event campaign), that one's a bit much.
We *do* have playable Borg characters, I can't imagine that after the fall of the Borg, followed by the new Borg collective, in it's much tamed form, that there wouldn't be a lot of derelict Borg ships lying about waiting to be refit.
