Same! On the original, I loved the mission abord the "joint" station where you were supposed to sneak around the different areas but instead I'd run through and shoot everything lol. I can't remember the name of the mission...
Don't let them promote you. Don't let them transfer you. Don't let them do anything that takes you off the bridge of that ship, because while you're there... you can make a difference.

Wouldn't it just be quicker to put Elite Force into STO entirely?
Seriously, though, so excited to see this weapon coming to STO. The Elite Force games were a lot of fun!
Oh I want more Elite Force weapons in game. I'm gonna dust off my Hazard Suit Mockup for this. Made an Odyssey variant of it, and I've seen a player in game using the Sierra 1 for a Hazard Suit.
It makes no sounds despite being a mini-photon torpedo bazooka that should be loud to make you feel its power.
WEAK.
Used it on the 2nd run of the day at night in bozeman.
Has some nice effects, but on engineer doesn't feel like a winner.
On a tac with ammo refill modules it may come into its own. Otherwise i would classify it as a boff support weapon.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
It's a fun weapon...
As long as you have ammo and the enemy has no shield.
I think the "reload" should be much shorter, because right now I don't think it's gonna appear in any DPS top.
Also, I question the relevance of the secondary fire when the primary already locks on your target and does the exact same damage. Plus, it doesn't really fit the playstyle, since it's a weapon with ammo, you want to make every shot count, not blindly fire at the nearest thing.
And as a small graphical bug, any "unusual" animation that normally keeps the model visible either in your hand or on your back, like dancing or running a scan will break the model, only showing the barrel.
I am avoiding testing the weapon because it sounds like the game will delete it from my inventory when I use it.
If you're referring to the "consumed on use" part, I guess it's just a tooltip error. It works like any other permanent weapon.
The primary and secondary do the same thing, the secondary is just an auto-lock.
That being said, if you're a tactical player and have the Deadly intent kit module then you can use that to recharge those six charges on the Photon Burst Rifle.

According to the announcement it was designed to be a support weapon as a secondary option for the player character, with their primary weapon being something else. It sounds good for a ranged/ranged setup like the Federation tends to use though it seems like it would be less useful for the ranged/melee doctrine of the KDF.
The "Consumed on use" message also appears on the Portable Phaser Cannon Special Issue (the Lobi version of the Shaxs weapon from Lower Decks). The weapon itself is permanent, but you have to charge up ammo to use the secondary function--said function being that you charge up the ammo by holding down the secondary button to fire off more blasts...maybe devs could take a hint from this?

Apologies, i remembered that DI refilled all ammo charges but apparently it only applies to plasma.
Thus Deadly Intent does not refill the charges on the photon burst rifle

I just wish real life wouldn't get in the way of me playing these games again.
