D7 Miracle worker flight deck carrier Romulan emblem? Pls?

lexusk19lexusk19 Member Posts: 1,415 Arc User
Just picked up the bundle from Mudd's market for the D7. Its amazing by the way! :D But was wondering if we could get a Romulan skin for the ship? And by that I mean just take the bird emblem off the T'liss from Picard, and just slap it on the belly of the D7? Instead of the KDF emblem. Would be an easy edit I would think. Anyways, thats all, love the ship all the same! :D

Its a pack. Called the Discovery Miracle Worker Carrier. Open it and get a choice pack between it and the Connie. :) You can collect them both as well. Just need to reclaim the pack and open again.

Edit: The picture for the bundle is also incorrect at the moment. lol

I think only the legendary D7 has the Stormbird skin option, but I could be wrong.

I got the cheaper bundle the 3 out of 7 option. Selected the miracle worker choice pack and two sets of 50 master keys. You can reclaim the choice pack to unlock the Fed and KDF ships. The Connie and D7.

I have that one. It looks great. Just asking for the same decal on the Disco version of the D7. :)

In that timeline the klingons didn't trade with the romulans...no d7s for cloaks

Unless the Cloak based on the one from the Sarco is inferior to Romulan Cloaks. I mean Discovery did bring back a means to counter that advantage, even though it was a few months late.

However in regards to making a Discovery style D7 Stormbird... that particular variant of the D7 was around years before that so... probably unlikely unless we see that variant on screen with Romulan decals. For now its only Klingon. Also the decal would most likely be different than the one on the BoP. Similar style, just like the TOS BoP and D7 are similar, but wouldn't just be a copy/paste.

The MW D7 and the Legendary are two different models with two different sizes. So no the Romulan skin would not be available to the Carrier.

Scaling between Legendary and Promo are different. No Romulan for the Promo / Mudd ship atm. I don't think they ever will do that either.

C-Store Inc. is still looking for active members on the fed side. If you don't have a fleet feel free to contact me in game @stegi.

Not unless we see one in that particular configuration on screen.

Hmm maybe an option then to at least remove the KDF emblems from the ship? Seems like a good compromise.

That might require a whole new skin if the KDF emblem is part of the base layer instead of an overlay "decal", but if they can do it would be great.

In TOS they didn't want to mess with the decals on the shooting model (which was made of wood, btw) so they used odd shooting angles and kept the Stormbirds in the background where the KDF emblem was not so visible. However, they could not avoid it completely, so the emblem they showed in the interior scenes looked somewhat like the Klingon one but with hexagons and whatnot instead of the "talon" shapes of the Klingon one but with the low resolution of TV at the time could lead viewers to assume that it was the emblem they were catching glimpses of on the hull. A fairly popular fan theory to explain the anomalous emblem was that it represented a brief alliance (or maybe 'Axis' would be more appropriate) between the two empires that facilitated the tech exchanges.

It is unlikely that SNW would ever show a Stormbird unless it was another time travel episode (or at least I hope so, they have enough continuity faux paus as it is), the exchange could not have happened much before 2266 because the Romulans in Balance of Terror were quite surprised by the speed of the Enterprise so knowledge of advanced warp drives had not made it to the rank-and-file field commanders yet.

It was no secret that there were cold war elements in TOS, with the Federation representing the Western Bloc (especially the US since Trek was made in Hollywood), and the Klingons taking the part of the USSR. There is a popular fan theory that the Klingons approached the Romulans with a proposal for a tech exchange hoping the Romulans would cause trouble and distract the Federation just like the Soviets were giving under the table support and selling arms to countries hostile to the western nations (especially the US).

Personally, I think that in Balance of Terror the Tal Shiar corrupted elements of the Romulan government were already in secret negotiations with the Klingons and needed a demonstration of just how outmatched they were without the advanced drive the Klingons offered in order to stampede the traditional side of the Senate into passing measures that, as a hidden side-effect, would put the new order firmly in control from then on. So, they sent one of the more intractable of the old-guard commanders out to be killed on a mis-represented mission to provide that demonstration, in effect killing two birds with one stone.
