The Vault not completing after the most recent patch on August 22, 2023

in PC Gameplay Bug Reports
Played on 2 different characters. Restarted mission on both. I get to the last part of the mission where you assist the cruiser (either Klingon or Federation... did them both) fighting the Romulan battle ship. Killed the fighters, stopped the torpedoes and the Romulan ship was defeated then just sits there, all transparent... does not blow up to end the mission like it has on my other characters I have played including a character I played on the day before the most recent patch. The patch busted that mission

    Anybody else with this issue? Anybody successfully completed "The Vault" in the last three days? Issue has been around for this period at least.

    It is reported on Reddit at https://www.reddit.com/r/sto/comments/160hqt7/the_vault_mission_is_broken/ but I can find no report here.

    I have tried this with two characters and it fails at this point. One a TOS Lvl 26 character and a TOS Shuttle. The other a Lvl 65 Starfleet Character with a Type 8 Shuttle. The Lvl 65 character has previously completed this mission as have my other toons.

    The fighters appear and after they are killed the Reman ship is disabled but fails to explode, and therefore the final dialog does not appear.
    The TOS toon has exited system and then continued multiple times each with same result. The mission has also been dropped and restarted from the beginning with the same result. The mission was first attempted at Advanced Difficulty and then repeated at Normal Difficulty.

    I stress that the fighters have been killed and on multiple attempts I have spent 5 minutes looking in case there is an extra fighter to kill, there isn't.

    The shuttles used have two different types with different equipment, the toons of two different eras.

    I have submitted a ticket ID Reference ending in ***208

    have you run a force verify. Made sure on demand patching is off and checked that all your drivers are up to date.

    I can confirm that Force Verifying and turning On Demand Patching Off made no difference - thanks for the suggestion, it was worth attempting.

    Thanks @baddmoonrizin for moving this thread to the correct sub forum.

    Sorry @hamilton77 that you are experiencing the issue as well.

    Just to confirm that I have had a response from the Support Team acknowledging that the problem exists and that the developers are aware of the issue.
    There is no estimated time to fix.

    Someone suggested because this goes back to 2011, Do not kill the fighters right away and worry about the torpedoes. I will try this later after rest. If it works I will repost back here.

    I'm also having the same issue , Glad I found this post as I was pulling my hair out , thinking I was missing something obvious, as I'm a new player.
    Does not being able to complete this mission stall , my charater until its fixed ??? Or can I just ignore the mission and carry on ???

    You should be able to press the "Skip" button located in your journal under Episodes tab and Romulan Mystery for the mission and continue the rest of the arc. However, if your character is a Delta, Temporal, or Klingon recruit this will keep you from getting the special rewards for finishing the arc.

    I reported this one and got a response saying that the devs are aware of the problem but that there's no ETA for a fix as yet.

    The last step, Static is bugging out. It won't let me complete the mission.

    I handle the fighters and plasma torps but once done, the battle cruiser just reposition back to it's start point and NOTHING.

    I have left system 3 times to restart it and same thing every time. Please help.

    last time I did it I took out the fighters and then nuked the warbird with the photon torpedo point defense, the warbird did not blow up

    Not only is this still broken, it's not even on the Known Issues list in the patch notes!

    We tried it last night with 3 different DISCO Klingons from 3 different accounts and could not get it to advance Static either.

    there are three episodes with game-breaking bugs, Vault, Sphere of influence and no icons on the last console, and Dust to Dust the electricity on the floor panels cannot be seen.

    Sphere of Influence and Dust to Dust have quietly been fixed. Both the icons for console and the electrified floor now show. Tested both missions after the 9/14/2023 patch.

    The Vault was still bugged, however.

    Still broken for me aswell 16/09/2023. doesnt complete at end part

    Adding my voice to this as well. The Vault still doesn't complete at the end, as of September 18, 2023.
    Get to the end, stop the warbird, and then nothing happens.

    Still broken as of the 9/21/2023 patch and still no mention as a Known Issue.

    Same here , tried last night 9/22/2023 and still cannot complete Vault mission.

    Still no fix as of 9/25, still no acknowledgement in the patch notes.

    nope still broken. at least i was able to find the temporal anomaly so that's out of the way
