Another one that is a bit more obscure by now though would have to be seaQuest DSV.

Another favourite space show, often called Star Trek's Evil Twin, is LEXX:
Gerry Anderson gave us quite a few themes that were just plain epic - Thunderbirds goes down in history due to that wonderful opening theme that's just so instantly recognisable:
I also like the dark and twisted opening from Captain Scarlet:
"Star Fleet" is often mistaken as a Gerry Anderson show, but it's not:
One of the best space TV shows ever, had an absolutely rocking soundtrack that was just way better than any cartoon show ever deserved to have:
(Seriously, this cartoon show is out there in YouTube in full for y'all to watch - it's absolutely stunning!)
Finally, although 'sci-fi' is perhaps not the most accurate description of this, MYST has an astonishing theme:
