If they ever do another new Recruitment Event, Disco would make the most sense, being the only subfaction not to get one.
Yeah there should be a unique recruitment event for the Discovery faction, seeing as neither Delta nor Temporal makes much sense for them, with Delta their future self would be from 150 years in the future and with Temporal they ended up in the 25th century completely by accident by J'Ula no less, for Discovery you need something like Terran Recruitment where you're an undercovered mole/spy for the Terran Empire and you swapped places with your Prime Universe counterpart kind of like Lorca or have a Discovery Recruitment Event that's more focused on hunting down J'Ula and House Mo'Kai.

Except that even a DSC character has a mirror counterpart already. Yea Mirror Tilly says she killed your mirror counterpart if you're a DSC character, but that is proven to be false in the Terran arc with the reveal of the Inquisitor. So in theory... Tilly's attempt at killing the DSC Counterpart only resulted in them being sent to the future where they would become the Inquisitor.

I don't think that would make sense as a Discovery recruit, but with all the Inquisitor missions, they really missed a trick with having a Mirror sub faction. All of the Inquisitor missions could have been starter missions for that, leading into our defecting to the regular universe. Could have avoided a lot of player frustration if the rest of our characters were playing them as "holographic recreations" similar to the Age of Discovery ones. Sure, Cryptic has said that "no one wants to play the bad guy", but that was long before making us play their premade bad guy multiple times in the same story arc.
A normie goes "Oh, what's this?"
An otaku goes "UwU, what's this?"
A furry goes "OwO, what's this?"
A werewolf goes "Awoo, what's this?"
"It's nothing personal, I just don't feel like I've gotten to know a person until I've sniffed their crotch." "We said 'no' to Mr. Curiosity. We're not home. Curiosity is not welcome, it is not to be invited in. Curiosity...is bad. It gets you in trouble, it gets you killed, and more importantly...it makes you poor!"

They didn't miss a trick. They actively said no repeatedly, and with the Inquistor being the Mirror Universe counterpart, it effectively means there's zero chance of a mirror faction. They can't even roll it back because the storyline is now part of STO's canon. And Cryptic is right, most folk don't want to play 'evil'.
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.

I don't mind playing the Badguy, my Romulan is rebuilding a New Star Empire and My Cardassian is all about retaking Bajor against their will, either that or blowing up the Bajoran planet whatever hurts Bajorans more, plus have you guys heard the demands of a Borg Faction, people still want to play the badguys, it seems like a vocal minority is complaining about it.
People love playing villains in videogames, especially ones with a morality system like Fallout, SW:TOR, TES IV Oblivion, Evil Playthroughs exist for a reason,
Murdering defenseless NPCs is a feeling like no other, once you accidental stab someone by pushing the wrong button and then murder an entire town like Goodsprings from Fallout New Vegas in self defense, you begin feel almost unstoppable.

You love playing villains. Don't get it twisted. "Evil Playthroughs" exist because someone like you decided the rest of us really are Evil and are just hiding it.

That's your choice. Doesn't mean everyone else wants to. I personally can't bring myself to play evil.
hmm a mirror faction could start off with you killing off the CO of your ship to save a Prime ship, and escaping in a runabout to defect.. has potential, anyway

The only way we'd get something resembling a Terran faction is if it wasn't connected to the known Mirror Universe. As in potentially from the aborted Confederation timeline.

The Community Manager said in yesterdays Lifestream that it will be the Klingon Recruit Event and it will be in February.
No specific day was given.
