Game Crashing After Logging IN Since December 6 Patch

Ever since last patch game runs like garbage it's unplayable. I log in choose choose my toon within seconds game locks up and knocks me out of game. Graphics also being reset to LEAST setting before I ran them at HIGH. Reset graphics still nothing same.

    You’re not the only one, I have the same problem too. I can’t play my game when it keeps crashing since December 6th patch.

    Hey thats good to know i'm not the only one.I tried a playing with graphic settings,safe mode,disable ondemand patching,vertify files then also fresh reinstall of game and did not work.Oh and I rebooted/restarted modem.

    Same here....and oddity is on Saturday - Dec 12, played for 2+ straight hours with no problems. Today, Sunday Dec 11, select character, crashes little after 100%...(multiple times today).

    I don't know if because STO or my PC or both, but since Wednesday's 12/14 patch when I went to the character selection screen and loaded up a character my pc's monitor went black/went to sleep with the power button light turning from blue to orange and I'd have to turn off and back on my PC and I went to GTA V story mode to reproduce it and it also happened in there also after a couple of minutes. However I didn't have that problem again until today after being in STO for over an hour or so and I had updated my Nvidia graphics card drivers on Wednesday, too. Thinking of getting a new Alienware gaming PC anyway and will probably get a new monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc. Just wanted to share my situation just in case anybody else has had something similar. Basically this has happened with GTA V only the one time I know of and maybe 3 times with STO that I know of. So y'all let me know if anything like this recently since 12/6 or 12/14. Other than this gaming for me is normal like it's supposed to be and so is surfing the net and watching vids. Hopefully things get fixed up so that these things don't happen for anybody.
