I'm not even annoyed. It just reenforces my descision not to spend money on this game anymore. Everything I want these days is either part of an expensive $120 bundle with lots of useless junk in it, or the grand prize of a gamble box.
Also: they are trying really hard to make shield tanking a thing, aren't they?
I like the vulcan design, but that is as far as things go for me.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
Well it's not the Suurok class which I was hoping would make it into the game, however at least it looks like a proper Vulcan ship unlike the melted looking one from DIS. I hope they at least upgrade the T5 Vulcan ship in the c-store to T6.

yep i am done spending money on this, its just not worth it anymore

Consider this: Andor, another of the Federation's founding quartet, has their T5 ships (and their T6 successors) in the Z-store; Tellar has their T6 ship; and Earth has the many Starfleet designs. Vulcan has the D'Kyr, for which a successor has long been desired... making said successor's being confined to, as szim put it, a gamble box quite the inconsistency.
"But wait," someone might say, "it's a Lower Decks ship." If one wishes to float that argument, implying that LD is not part of the core timeline (see; Kelvin), that only makes the lack of a 'core' D'Kyr successor even more obvious.

Nowhere does it say that this ship is a successor to the D'Kyr. Yes its in the same style, but the same can be said of most Federation or Klingon ships when compared to each other, and they're not related.
Its just a Vulcan ship. That's it. Its not a T6 D'Kyr.
Well on the plus side, the Console and Trait look absolutely worthless. So no reason to honestly care about the thing whatsoever. It they insist on putting ships in the promo boxes, lets all agree that it is best that they be worthless or at least less desirable ships.

I feel like the Devs are MASSIVELY out of touch with the community and this quote is really another great example of it.
I like how the ship looks but it just isn't worth what they're asking. I just can't get behind the predatory mobile game monetization model, more so when even the community manager is throwing out the "
You don't HaAaAaVe to buy it" line on the livestreams. It just really puts a bad spin on things. I get that STO keeps the lights on but that doesn't mean it's doing them any favors. It doesn't mean that they can't improve the business model and make things more appealing to pay for. I can just as easily wait a year for the holiday sales, after hoarding zen.
All they're doing lately is just making people hoard dilithium all the more, so they "don't HaAaAaVe to buy it"...
The ship looks good, both in visual form and in interesting ingame features (I really like the one science spearhead ship that I have and would like to try more of the type). Sadly, it is behind the second-worst chance-wall of the game so going out of the way to try for one is useless.
On the other hand, I could use some of the doff packs anyway so there is an infinitesimally small chance I might get one out of the few packs I could get with my budget.
Meanwhile, I would love to get the Temporal Light Cruiser or Miracle Worker Flight Deck Carrier because the TLC is spot on, etc, but I'm not spending money on a bundle with a bunch of ships I don't want, etc. Make them like 3500 zen each or something, or 4K, and then we'll talk. Else I'm just gonna grind through events to get one of them.
Cryptic, please reconsider this: Starship Trait – Totally Lost All Control, its a powerful boost to damage will be the final nail to the pvp coffin. 100% to 0 in few seconds. Its understandable that you need to milk some of the bigger cows in your garden, but this trait will worsen the overall game quality for everyone pvping significantly. The $$ is irreverent and the next year that trait will probably be accessible to anyone via the yearly event, but the damage that it will do to pvp is irreversible.
Make the bonuses work only in PvE or another thing but the current version feels like the end of pvp. And if i can't pvp (because it will become 100 to 0 fest every 20 seconds) i don't even know what i am going to do in this game.

Um... hate to break it to you but this trait isn't what killed PvP. Its been dead for years now. And people can vaporize each other without it just fine, and has had the capability to do so for years. You know all those high DPS builds that can vaporize PvE Tac Cubes and stuff in seconds? Yea turn those onto a player with a FRACTION of the HP and see what happens. And that is without this trait from this ship.
I don't get vaped, such thing as vapers does not exist since few years now, a full tactical unload on me gets me to half hull. This is the beam boats, torpers generally can't even scratch me. Recently fought a pve torper, he said he does 300k ++ dps and he could barely go through my shields, i did not feel any pressure at any point.
This new trait however might change that and the negative picture you portray could potentially become a reality. Its hard to tell, but if it is the case then it not a matter of whether you have this GG ship or not, even if both sides have it it creates a very negative dynamic.

I'm effectively on spend other people's money on the game (dil) at this point anyway, ROI isn't exactly fantastic these days.
Not even worth the EC hoarding.
