So this is this Campaign's second event reward. As out of the way as this reward is, I have an issue with it.
She's a Science/Command bridge officer, and as expected she cannot be customized. I'm okay with that. Being an hologram she has as expected the Superior Photonic Lifeform ground trait and the new exclusive Assimilate Dead ground trait that was teased in the announcement blog. She also has Superior Creativity, which improves effectiveness of abilities (not sure exactly how it works, but it's not the point of this post).
Then she has Superior Mental Discipline and that's what I don't like with her: Superior Mental Discipline improves resistance to Psionic Attacks (+22.5), Confuse (+30) and Placate (+30). But Superior Photonic Lifeform already improves resistance to Psionic damage (+40) and grants immunity to Confuse so I really feel this trait slot is wasted by having the redundant Superior Mental Discipline. I was more expecting something like Superior Space Warfare Specialist (found on other Holographic Bridge Officers like Bashir).
I'll admit, that's an odd combination of traits -- one that makes another nearly irrelevant or largely redundant. But then again, event rewards are rarely the best for anything, so it's kind of par for the course, too.
On the other hand... IF they stack... that's a combined +62.5 to Psionic Resist, which would make her handy in fighting Psionic heavy enemy groups, which I think include Undine and Devidian. Equip her with the Phase-Shifted Personal Shield, she might have one of the highest Psionic Resist stats on a BOff. Situational yes, but its there.

They should have dropped the fourth ground trait and added a space trait. Like it or not a lot of folks care more about space. Also they need at some point to find away to grant Fed and KDF toons a copy of Superior Infiltrator. FED and Proper KDF are handicapped in half the games ships... I mean I love that Romulan is the superior race of choice and all, still.
A holo Janeway with all the lore around the cloaking fed ships lately seems logical to me. Would also make the Holo Janeway a must have for when it eventually ends up in the Mudd store.
last time i had a space warfare specialist she got trait wiped when i gave her a spec token. and that boff was one of the first ones when we had to burn our tokens because "the game got too complicated"
I agree it's odd to have redundant traits like that on a supposed 'top tier' boff. And also agree she ought to have at least one space trait.
Meanwhile, I'm wondering how they did a decent job with the Janeway character model when they smeared the 'revised' Leeta so badly. Can we please have a choice to use the old version when opening the Holo Leeta Boff box? I'm literally not gonna get another one on any of my other characters until we can.

A normie goes "Oh, what's this?"
An otaku goes "UwU, what's this?"
A furry goes "OwO, what's this?"
A werewolf goes "Awoo, what's this?"
"It's nothing personal, I just don't feel like I've gotten to know a person until I've sniffed their crotch." "We said 'no' to Mr. Curiosity. We're not home. Curiosity is not welcome, it is not to be invited in. Curiosity...is bad. It gets you in trouble, it gets you killed, and more importantly...it makes you poor!"

Much thought went into it probably. All these traits seem to fit the Janeway character.
When did she ever show mental discipline? I mean I'm not saying she was undisciplined but she never seemed to practice mental discipline much....especially when you consider how prevalent it was with Tuvok and those he taught
Can't have a honest conversation because of a white knight with power
I too would have liked a new space trait but a free bridge officer is a free bridge officer, so I'm not complaining. Plus I like Operation Wolf so this is an easy grind for me.

It's much harder to read the minds of people whose thought patterns are utterly chaotic.
Um, at least that's what I heard from... somebody. Definitely not personal experience, nope.

From time to time she could be erratic indeed, but overall she was pretty disciplined. For a human.
Compare her crew to that of Rudy Ransom for example. She held up Starfleet manners and decorum even when there was no one who could force her to within 10s of thousands of light years. Or consider the one episode where aliens were performing medical experiments on the crew. Yes, she became irritated and irrational (even 'reckless') - but only after a significant part of the crew had already collapsed, been taken out, a crew member had died and little alternative solutions existed anymore.
Also note that, at that point, only a liberated Borg and Vulcan officer - who were notorious for being exceptionally resilient - were still able to perform their duties well and make any progress on finding out what was going on.
The fact that Janeway managed to do as well as she did - and that she is compared to that Vulcan who was still extremely disciplined while also suffering from neurological diseases - is enough reason for me to call her disciplined.

If that's the episode I'm thinking of...I wouldn't call diving headlong between a pulsar pair merely 'reckless'.
Problem with that is that in that episode everyone was being subjected to "experiments", and I think one they used on Janeway was sleep deprivation or something. I don't remember the episode very well, but that wasn't Janeway at her best. That was Janeway under MASSIVE amounts of stress and she pretty much snapped.
Still worked out in the end and those aliens never came back.

I admit far more Species (Races) should have at least 1 Space Trait, even though most species that have them they aren't Superior most often. Nausican's, often have Pirate yet you NEVER see Superior Pirate; it be good to see some Holdings expand a few Bridge Officers with 1 Superior Space Trait. I've LONG suggested they should update Tier III Holdings out to Tier IV, and if some different Holdings allowed Rare or Very Rare Officers with 2-3 Superior Traits; with 1 for space it likely be a good DIL sink.
While I don't think Romulan's would be exactly the same as Vulcan's, while Superior Romulan Operatives give 2% Crit Chance and 5% Severity, maybe the Vulcan just Weapon Specialization of (+10 to +15) along with (+1 to +2) Auxiliary & Shield Subsystems with a preference for Science--depending if it was normal or Superior. Keep in Mind +50 (Weapon Specialization) base gives 2% Crit chance, so while the crit boost is far smaller than SRO the boost to Auxiliary & Shields would make it up. Maybe These Vulcan Officer's could be offered at a Upgraded Fleet Holding that upgraded from III to Tier IV?
I'd love seeing Human with a Superior Leadership trait, that perhaps offered (+2) a variation on Humans too; so Leadership also offered a Offense Systems Power (Weapons & Engines) for example in to it's other buff's. Perhaps a slightly buffed Leadership to give +1 Weapons & Engine power for Normal or +2 Weapons & Engine Power for Superior Leadership.
It also be nice to see Andorians, given a Space Trait or Nausican's given a Superior version of Pirate; perhaps even something for Trill which were always usable by both the Federation & Klingons.

Hey look, an Ancient Humanoid.
Thank you for seeding Earth's oceans.
Not the way they mesh though, unless I've missed something.
Plus there's no 'Trail of Chaos' trait.

Tuvok: "This is a far more reckless course of action than I've come to expect from you, Captain."
Not my words, his. Hence the quotation marks.
