    Just to note, for newer players who maybe don't have them already, you can get an account unlock ship with the (popular) "Withering Barrage" starship trait from this event, and I believe also the cross-faction flying unlock.

    No, the cross-faction flying unlock only requires to have a character from both factions at level 65.

    Not agreeing with someone doesn't give you the right to be an TRIBBLE.

    Ci sono tre tipi di giocatori:
    - quelli a cui non va mai bene niente... e vanno sul forum a trollare;
    - quelli che sono talmente imbesuiti da credere a qualunque cosa i dev dicano, perfino che la luna è fatta di formaggio... e vanno sul forum a trollare;
    - quelli che credono a quello a cui è giusto credere, sono d'accordo con quello con cui è giusto essere d'accordo e sono critici con quello che non va;

    Ai giocatori dei primi due tipi, gratis in omaggio un bello specchio lucente su cui arrampicarsi. E una mazzata in testa per la loro poca intelligenza e compassione verso gli altri giocatori che non la pensano come loro.
    Agli appartenenti al terzo tipo, invece, dico grazie. Anche se non sempre si riesce a mantenere la calma, siete quelli per cui vale la pena incazzarsi.

    I thought it only required Klingon, and that reaching level 65 is one of the tasks for this event.... but maybe not? My intent was that if someone didn't have it already, even though it's not directly from the event, they would end up earning it with their recruit.

    Mine is collecting dust, too busy leveling Deltas, Temporal and Gamma. Wondering when Romulan and Discovery factions are going to get recruitment events, Delta doesn't count for Romulan Recruitment since that is also shared with both the Feds and the KDF.

    Oh, you're absolutely right, it would result in people earning it without paying a single dime.
    On top of all the other stuff, especially as account unlock, that's quite profitable if you're interested in it - and saves about 2k worth of Zen.

    This time around I will probably work on advancing my existing Klingon recruits along their transponder paths instead of making new ones unless inspiration strikes and I get a really good idea for a new KDF character, then catch the recruitment next year for new ones (probably Orion for the next ones, I did Klingons last time because of the civil war storyline).

    I have an empty Delta slot left so I will definitely be making a new Delta. I might make a new AoY because I like TOS the best and there is so very little TOS content in the game, but in general I think I will be consolidating what I have more than making new characters this time around.

    Gamma I never bother with (I usually take a vacation over to full-time ESO during that recruitment). I tried making a Gamma when it first came out and I just cannot get into the thing's head, so I skip that recruitment because going through the game without an actual character is a boring grind. If they were to open up the Dominion faction so it would actually represent the full Dominion and not just Odo's weird Jem'Hadar expeditionary force I would make new (Vorta) characters for that.

    Honestly, my biggest question is if the M'Chla Refit parts will become available for the Legendary B'Rel Pilot Bird of Prey, at least if you have a Klingon Recruit character on your account. Mostly because the ship looks neat, but I can't really see a reason to switch from the Legendary BoP if you've got it.

    I really hope the parts are available, because it looks really cool.

    If I understand correctly, it's a stripped down version of the Discovery Pilot BoP, which already has access to those parts. So, looks like that's not interchangeable with the B'rel.

    I'm glad they are bringing back the recruitment; however, I don't think I will make a new Klingon character this time around (still hoping for a Discovery recruitment to happen, then plan on making 2 characters for that). Perhaps they will add a few more objectives to the recruit goals, though. That would be a good reason to break out my old Klingon recruit again.
  • lowestlvllowestlvl Member Posts: 656 Arc User
    you better make damned sure "Warrior's Blood" recruit goal is working correctly. because it been broken on mine for over a year and is still broken
    There is no QA there is only ZUUL
    called out the bs and got BANNED. and i would gladly do it again.

    I am not interested in recruitment reruns. Wake me up where there is a new recruitment to do.

    Are there any new rewards for existing toons?

    No. Not at this time. Delta didn't get any the first rerun it had either.

    EXACTLY <
    They just did the Klingon recruit event.
    there are several older recruit events that would be more welcome than
    to just re-do the one we just got done doing.

    I have a great idea, why don't they just have a all factions recruiting event.
    POP in some NPC that will allow the player to choose >>>ONE<<<
    past recruiting event (players choice) per account.
    The player can then choose the faction event they prefer (or are missing)

    That would be note worthy...

    Since it feels like I just completed the Klingon Recruitment Event, I'll pass on this one.

    Love to see a new one. Romulan seems obvious but Cardassian would work as well.

    From what's been said previously on Ten Forward, I think we can expect all the recruit events will be re-run every so often. (Comments from the decision makers basically saying, "Why did we spend all this time and money on this content if we're not using it?" in reference to the older recruit events.)
    KDF Recruit was last run in January of 2021, Delta in April of 2021, Gamma in June of 2021, and Temporal in August of 2021. So as far as existing recruit events, it's KDF Recruit's turn. Wouldn't surprise me if they end up running each one annually or bi-annually.

    I think the plan is for an annual rerun with one each quarter. That way, they have people logging in.

    Either would be preferable to another rerun, though I have no interest in making a discovery captain. I wouldn't have made a TOS captain if it wasn't for all of the really nice exclusive account rewards. So a discovery recruitment would have to have some really good account rewards to get me to participate.

    One of my favorite KDF recruit rewards is So'Beknef'ru

    They are obviously not going to have a recruitment for a race that is not available in the base game since it would be counterproductive because not enough people would buy a new race just for a recruitment. That means that while Romulan might be possible if they are ever inclined to make a new recruitment, Cardassian would not.

    The recruitment is by faction, not by species. You can indeed play a Cardassian as a recruit if their faction is eligible. (My Klingon Delta Recruit is actually Joined Trill, and my Romulan one is Liberated Borg. ;) )

    Strange...

    Originally they had planned a Temporal Recruit early in the new year. I have to suspect they are still working on fixing it, and as a result have delayed it a bit. Still I agree with a few others it would have been a good time to reconsider a Delta event.

    Still I'm very easy going, and they will hopefully get to Temporal in the not to distant future for those who don't have one; not to mention another Delta as we've had at least two Delta's offered as well, yet there are 3 Faction Campaign Arc's to complete for that one. :)

    The ONE strange issue I've noticed with Klingon Recruit is none of my ENG/SCI captains earned the Witch of Nimbus III. I recognize she's mostly a TAC Duty Officer, yet when flying a TAC Starship she'd be nice to put on Active Duty! I also claimed all rewards, and hadn't disbanded her either.

    We just had Temporal in September.

    In fact all of the recruit events ran in 2021 - the Klingon one being the first of the four, so it kinda makes sense that it was the next to be rerun (all of the other ones have run since it did).

    For some reason I missed that, must of focused on SWTOR at that time; though I'm mostly back to STO now. Not that it bothers me as I already have a Temporal Recruit, just surprised I missed it was all.

    I was anticipating making a ferasan KDF recruit but apparently something went wrong with the claiming the race unlock back last year when Cryptic gave it away, and I just never noticed. Oh well. Or something like that. Honestly, I don't know. Support was not particularly helpful.
