Apparently this update contained a hidden revamp of the Azure Nebula TFO
- Jarok is now the NPC giving out the mission, instead of Subcommander Mivek. Jarok has no VA work yet.
- Jarok also gives out little bits of advice/info regarding if you are trapped in the Tholian's web spheres, or when more Tholian ships are incoming.
- The map is completely revamped, and looks a lot better(no more TRIBBLE gas clouds). Keeps the same basic 4 major asteroids with bases layout.
- Instead of two back to back optionals of rescuing 10 points worth of ships, there are two optionals running at the same time. One to rescue 7 points in some amount of minutes, and another to rescue 14 in twice that length. Both optionals seem to be much easier to complete due to lowered point requirements.

The lower limits are nice, and also not losing credit for freeing a ship in between the first and second optional.
Good to know, somtaawkhar, & thanks for the heads-up.
Will have to try it out for giggles or anticipate for the next Endeavor.
Glad to hear though sine I had read the previous versions kept having glitches.
Now this is a stealth change that is good within a patch.
Anyone know if there's been any change in Mark rewards? It's always felt a little underwhelming for the time invested, compared to many newer TFOs.
^ Indeed
At least a month or two on Xbox, and I highly doubt it was revamped on Console before PC.
Then I stand corrected, and thoroughly surprised, because I can guarantee that the Azure nebula revamp is not new on Console. Could they have revamped it on Console first?
"Good" to see some things don't change with the communication between the various departments and the patch note writer.
Next thing you know, there'll be a model revamp of the Nova or a playable Vorta and nothing will be mentioned about it.
Well done Cryptic!
Early preview?? How is it an early preview if it is live on all three platforms?
I believe the implication is that it's still a work in progress and could be getting more updates in the future.
Ah, that makes sense. I look forward to any additional revamps.
The optionals have some good and some bad changes made to them. It's good that you can work on the second optional immediately; there's no need to wait anymore after completing the first one.
In my opinion, the limits are set too low though. 10 was fine. You couldn't always get it, but that didn't have much to do with the number being set to 10. It'd have been better if they ensured that there were always sufficient spawns so that, if the team is good enough, 10 would be possible to reach. Basically, ensure that the numbers add up, instead of lowering the limit.
At least the issue of ghost ships - whereby ships would warp out only to reappear sometime later again, requiring a player to fly by the asteroid again before the spawn timer was reset - seems to have been solved now.

Most of the time the real issue was that bases stopped spawning new ships until someone flew towards the asteroid (which most people would never do) - then a ghost ship would immediately warp out and then the base would reset.
I play this mission all the time and I've only seen bases totally bug out when Azure was part of the universal endeavour.

Usually players tended to ignore it because that tactic was rarely required... Why wait if you have a powerful team that can easily collect more points if you don't wait?
Tactics are fine. But following a certain tactic should not become a goal in itself.

Good luck on getting 18 Destructible Torpedoes in Carraya on one pass.

Especially if you have a carrier. Pets won't destroy the main ships too fast but in intercept mode they will quickly shoot down those torpedoes.

Another NPC that spams messages, even when they're not necessary, could have been avoided as well - if this is their idea of "guiding" new players, then for the love of Khaless give us the option of disabling these messages. Infected was bad enough, we don't need to expand on that.
As for the new optionals, they're not an improvement. They're just there to ensure that you have the time to complete at least one, because it's still entirely dependant on RNG, which is the only part they should've fixed... and it's the only one that was not.
All in all, time wasted.
Also, double lol at the tweet: not only it came one day later, but it's also just trying to cover the fact that "ooops, someone put them there and they weren't supposed to be in yet, but going back is too much of a hassle so enjoy!". LOL.
Ci sono tre tipi di giocatori:
- quelli a cui non va mai bene niente... e vanno sul forum a trollare;
- quelli che sono talmente imbesuiti da credere a qualunque cosa i dev dicano, perfino che la luna è fatta di formaggio... e vanno sul forum a trollare;
- quelli che credono a quello a cui è giusto credere, sono d'accordo con quello con cui è giusto essere d'accordo e sono critici con quello che non va;
