Horrible connection or graphics lag

Ok i reinstalled my system last week re installed star trek online, but I'm getting really bad lag either graphic or net based i know there's a fix you can do i had it on my previous install but i cant remember it?? also im running a very good pc which is anoying i can play anything else on full settings no lag no graphics issue so halp?

    Go to the Options section in the Star Trek Online launcher, turn off On Demand Patching, check Force Verify, click Save, and let it patch.

    Try running the game in Safe Mode which is also in the Options section in the launcher. Then change the graphics settings in-game.
