Thank you ALL. Looking forward to it and the freebies. Have not heard much of the Omega Molecule particles. Perhaps they decided to scratch off since no need to do them unless you just keep them for yourselves.

Omega upgrades are far better than Phoenix upgrades, and now there are three kinds. You really don't want to miss this event, now that you can't buy the particles from the exchange anymore (became account bound last year).
It has not yet been announced. Generally, however, it's at the very end of January or beginning of February. Given the way the dates fall this year (days of week, etc), my expectation is that it will be somewhere between January 26 and February 4.
Thumbs Up, for PC of course. We'll also likely learn then, when it will be for Console as well.
No disrespect intended. But I would have never expected STO to make it so long. I heaved a sigh of relief when my LTS hit the 'it paid for itself' mark. (And I bought that the 2nd month it was released)
Look at all the other games that have come and gone. I mean how many games can say they've been around more than a decade? (I don't really count franchises like sports games or CoD. Those aren't technically ONE game going for 10+yrs)
So even though I'll put down this game for a variety of valid reasons, it does have my respect for its longevity and for not having the worst F2P monetization model possible. I'll still recommend STO to people who are looking for something to waste their time on.
Not my brand of cigar but I can see that many will like it. More choices is always a good thing.
Indeed it is.
I am curious what the Fed-Rom ship will look like.
Interestingly, there are three, sort of. The Explorer Warbirds (Surhuelh, Galas, Taenen) have the D'Kyr 'ring' (they're explicitly noted as having been developed with Vulcan assistance).
Earning the Alliance Raider for every character on your account is as simple as participating in any of the Anniversary Event’s eligible activities over the course of its run. Each day, players may earn up to 2 Daily Progress, with some activities worth 1 and some worth 2. Within the 30 days that the Event will be active, players that earn 40 or more Daily Progress may then claim this fine vessel and sail it into the stars!
Part of the anniversary update will be two brand new episodes, "Knowledge is Power" and "Leap of Faith." We'll have more information on those story episodes when they go live, but they will be a part of this event, as seen below.
Activities:
Episodes – 2 Daily Progress
The Centre Cannot Hold
Khitomer Discord
(New) Knowledge is Power
(New) Leap of Faith
TFOs – 2 Daily Progress
Starbase One
Mycelium Realm
Peril over Pahvo
Operation Riposte
Patrols – 1 Daily Progress
Rescue and Search
Ruins of Doom
Sentinels
The Ninth Rule
Within the Briars
Omega Stabilization (Daily) – 1 Daily Progress
I like the TFOs counting, particularly as they are fairly well tested. Though, probably not that fun for people that play randoms and expect actual randomness, as Starbase One is already fairly popular.
Now, the Omega Stabilization counting for only one isn't as nice, as the classic way to complete this now has to be done twice (pending it can that "Daily" being just a copy-paste) or mixed with something else like one of the Patrols to count.
I get its the anniversary event but holy TRIBBLE batman am I burned out of STO right about now.
It is just the usual grind event back to back to back. It feels like there is always a grind event going on with maybe a week or two in-between.
I will do it but honestly at bare minimum effort just for the FOMO...
I actually like the view of that ship. Waiting to see more views on the sto news page when its finally posted.
I do understand the grind part, I for one CANT grind but I wont miss out on an offered item and I wont buy it out.

So within a week or so hopefully we'll learn more, along with possibly, what Ship or Items we may have an opportunity for.

This is the primary version, though I tend to craft the quality-heavy versions more:

Edit:
That page has tabs....which shows the quality version I referenced:

January 26th, 2021 and continuing until February 25th, 2021.
Seems ok. The ship looks good too.

That's a very nice-looking ship, even if Raiders and Escorts are not my thing. I'll fly it for the trait and maybe put it to one of my Tacs.
