I keep getting "Unable to start game client: The system cannot find the file specified."

Hey guys,

When I boot up I keep getting "Unable to start game client: The system cannot find the file specified." and it is stopping me logging in without doing a reinstall. Any other ideas how I get around this?

    Have you tried turning off On Demand Patching, ticked Force Verify, allowed it to patch, and tried again?

    I shall try turning off demand patching.

    I get the same issue through steam and arc

    Don't forget to force verify. Have you tried logging in without ARC or Steam.

    To do so go to where you have STO installed. Look for a file Star Trek Online_en

    Within that file there should be an application file called Star Trek Online. Double click on that the launcher should run. Type in you login details and the game should run. If it runs that eliminates there was an issue with the actual game and you may have an issue with either ARC or Steam.
