PC players get Nanopulse Targs and Consoles get A FLAMING SWORD?!

Seriously... WTF is that about? Most people hate ground combat anyway and it's not like we haven't been getting more ground combat pets than anyone wants to use for content they avoid so why? Why give two different prizes each exclusive to it's own platform for the same content? TRIBBLE a Nanopulse Targ - A flaming sword I'll use a lot. A rats TRIBBLE targ? Never. Anyone else think this is a poorly thought out decision on their part or just me?

    You're getting the sword, it'll just be available later. This time console seems to be first with the good reward, then later PC players will be able to get the sword.. And the console players will be able to get the Targ.

    Oh, interesting. Curious that a significant piece of information like that is missing from all official Cryptic/PWE forums. Seems like the kind of information that should be included in their official release. Twitter - regardless of it's popularity - isn't part of STO. Thank you for clearing that up.

    Don't worry about it. While most of the forumites love to complain about being the last to know of these things, we do have people who actually go out and find these bits of info and relay it at least.

    Has there been any reason given why they decided to make the reward different for the two platforms?

    Just seems like a very odd thing to do when its the same dull timegatey event on both PC and console. On the bright side at least they didn't dismember the gear set from the last one and smear its entrails across 4 or 5 events.

    Its possible they're trying something new. Honestly I'd be more excited about the sword than the lazor Targ, but eh... at least its an account unlock.
