Respec again when i just did all 12 toons just a little bit ago for almost 2 hours.
Maybee this time i will leave it and let it stay unrespect and see what happens.
The Mirror Escort Carrier [T6] now uses the same scaling methods as other T6 ships:
It can now be upgraded to T6X.
I don't have the ship unfortunately, but I'm certain by the in-game chatter it will make some players very happy.
If Captains have unlocked the fifth trait slot, this will be unlocked for both categories.
If I'm reading that correctly that will be a boon for any that just have 1 currently unlocked, nice of Cryptic.
Best Served Cold Event:
I'm probably going to skip this, I'm just sort of tuckered-out with the events & imo this doesn't reward something I'm really coveting so it will be a good candidate to evade.
The Loadout system has undergone several improvements:
Good going Cryptic, I'm expecting some wrinkles with its release & if I have to redo my Skill Tree again so be it, but I hope it goes smoothly & remember about the Skill Tree Specializations.
I'm glad that Cryptic has announced the next couple of non-seasonal events. This one that starts tomorrow and the reward associated with it hold no interest for me. And neither will the sword when it becomes available. So with the never ending event spam that Cryptic passes off as content these days, I will be taking a much needed break from the game for the next 3 weeks. And then again when the sword event arrives.
Honestly, I understand the need to keep people engaged and hence all the events but good grief, give us a month off once in a while. I haven't actually played the GAME in years! It's event after event after event. But, I suppose if the metrics show players are staying engaged, we'll continue to see this type of thing.
Hello. My name is iamynaught and I am an altaholic.
I'm kind of curious when we will, if we will see the next episode? Story pls, less events @_@
Perhaps there's a balance to be made in allowing an event to run for 3 weeks, then have an episode run for 3 weeks also with rewards unlocking each week (as we used to have). But please, drop them a week or two apart to allow us time to play the game rather than turn it into a chore.

Another grind... Considering the past few haven't allowed me to use some of the leftover TFO tokens I have. I am probably just going to skip it. I could care less about the ground combat pets anyway. Even less now that this patch will nerf their the length of time they last.
The nerf in the duration of pets is not cool, how to maintain a build of sumonner like that? instead of encouraging the variation of approach in the game you end up forcing yourself to be just a shooter, or fighter

Those pets are meant to support players. Right now they're just too disruptive for most maps.
Personally I'd welcome more changes to rein them in.
Although it doesn't specify, it should be account bound. These event rewards are all account bound now, and the zen store combat pets are also account bound.
Interesting that the sale price is equal to the normal price of the other combat pets in the zen store, this seems to be Cryptic's new MO. They know they won't sell the items at normal price now so they double all these new bundles (and now this pet), and then have a 50% off sale during the intro period. At least, that's how it seems to me.
As to the 5 minute time limit, think this really only adversely affects the tardigrade and elachi walker. Dino already has a 5 minute time limit and all the earlier combat pets would only stick around for 1 minute. Just wish this 5 minute time would also apply to security team, nukara and romulan rep pet devices and the phoenix box/dilithium store pet devices. 1 minute is too short and if your security team is out of combat for just a few seconds they beam out.

Thank you for your answer.
I completely agree with you on 1 minute time limit. It is also true for the space battle. It's annoying that your fleet warped out when they were not engaged into combat for few secs, or if the combatant is too far away from my fleet or my ship to be engaged with.
One event hasn't been done yet and another one is starting, it's really high time to take a break from this influx of events. And then again and again an extension of the maintenance, that it is difficult at this time is understandable but it brings about a certain kind of fatigue of the players compared to playing STO.

I agree. It's a common thing when doing anything in life way to often. It's called 'burnout' and it's even a type of stress. Stressing players will cause less revenue in the long run.
Will you be extending the Red Alert Event due to the extended down time? I was unable to complete it because of this.
Sadly I really doubt it will be extended since it's duration already had a few built-in extra days for completing the main reward. But for your sake I hope it is & I already forgot if there was a buy-out option.

you don't spend more than 10 minutes to fulfill an event, complain that they put on a new event that gives something for free (without being mandatory) is silly, if you are tired of doing events, just don't do it.

It is not the event in itself that is too much but it is that there is no more break period. I play STO now for several years and we used to look forward to playing an event, now it has become almost a full job. It's easy to say that one is not obliged to play an event, that's right, but event after event without a break? No, that's the proverbial "too much is too much". Even TFO's suffer because the waiting times increase because everyone is busy with an event. It would be better to spend time developing new episodes or fixing bugs.

Today's patch notes aren't properly tagged (tag:sto-patch-notes) yet keeping them from showing up via the following Release Notes link in the top right of the launcher as all the others:

Losing faith in humanity, one person at a time.
The Iconian reputation title and the Khitomer discord fixes were also announced last week.

I can't find any info that says the pet is bound to character, or bound to an account. Thanks for answer.

Never got told last time why. So I wouldn't expect a reason to be given this time either. Maybe a hamster died.

It was due to end today at 10 am PT 30 minutes after maintenance was due to finish. So yeah it should be extended by a day IMO
Hamster? Don't you mean tribbles?

Agreed.

They won't until maintenance is completed.
