It'll be interesting to see how STO welds together the Hobus supernova (which was of course caused by the Iconians in STO) with the Picard storyline.
Picard dealt with the problems the supernova caused, not the specific details of what caused the supernova. So it seems to fit together perfectly as is

Exactly right, Picard's events surrounding Hobus actually don't interfere with the STO story line in any way. They fit together perfectly fine.
Hope this queue is better then the last one, Best Served Cold was absolutely terrible.
They are adding more Kurtzman trash in the game. My goodness. I know CBS probably is pushing it and Cryptic have no saying on it but is a shame any effort wasted on anything related on this nonsense created by Kurtzman and he crew of "writers".

You know where the door is buddy, don't let it hit ya on the way out!

I want STO to recognize that it's a separate timeline from Picard. There's already enough issues trying to shoehorn what happened in Picard in with the well-established Path to 2409, and who knows what season 2 will bring? STO was created 10 years before Picard happened, it's OK to accept that real-world timing means that STO and Picard are in separate timelines.
There was a live stream with Thomas Marrone where he bent over backwards to rationalize why an Odyssey class appeared in the Picard comic 20 years before its release in STO. No need for crazy head-canon explanations, just say it's a different timeline.

STO is not a separate timeline from Picard, so they probably won't be doing that.
Agreed. Hence that is why Icheb has been removed from K-7. As Picard is set BEFORE STO timeline, seeing Icheb alive and well would of broken the continuity.
Anyway this thread is about the new incoming TFO. Can it please stop being derailed. TY
There was no invasion of Mars, it was inside job...
Yeah, the use of the word 'invasion' is confusing to me, also. The Synths were servants of the Federation ship yards. They "suddenly" rebelled for unknown reasons. How could they have ships of their own design already available? This should be a ground TFO where we try to find the civilians in the shipyard facilities and beam them out.
It looks like they are tease the next gamble box as a synth themed one where the grand prize will be those "attack ships"? I am not sure what those ships are supposed to be, but they certainly aren't battleships. Should be an easy TFO since the enemy ships are by no means combat ships. This will be like a bunch of tugboats going up against 4 top-of-the-line naval warships.

You forget, the synths TRIBBLE the Mars defense satellite system, which plays into the TFO.
When Kael was playing it on livestream those things can 1/2 hit you, and the synths keep hacking more as the TFO goes on, restricting the play space.
Also as the protected zone skrinks, the number of ships attacking you increase as well. I was watching Kael in the last moments of his run. If there is an advance or elite version of this queue. It will get real messy real fast.
Honestly, they could have spared themselves a lot of headache if they would have declared STO a separate timeline with "refugees" from other timelines. They could pick and choose what they want and want happens and what not.
The ship seems strange looking though.
GIVE US THANK YOU FOR GIVING US THE TYPHOON! Enough said...

Seems to be made for atmospheric fligh, as Mars have less, it would need great surface to create lift, i dont know if they did that, but seems logical. Anyway, i liked the TFO, so i'll play the event... also hope that there is more alternatives, because if there is a way to hate a TFO is making me play it 20 times... a little variation helps a lot..

As the flashback unfolded in the Alternate Picard streaming service story, Mar's exterior defense in space was turned inwards towards the surface on Mars.
In the promo for the series, it showed ships attacking the shipyards, stations in space, and the ground facilities.
In the latter viewing, it was shown that a lone worker android was TRIBBLE, and accessed through a panel and the rest you know *if you saw the show yourself*
As it has been pointed on previous new cycles...the Picard series was audience tested found was met with much disapproval, and there was a lot reshooting and script changes. Since they were pressed for time on getting things done, the first promo scenes of Mars' shipyard destruction was not corrected.

It's not part of the YOK content, so there is no fitting or not fitting.

It has hull and nacelle parts that look like some of the parts available to the Vesta line.
But I don't recognise the saucer at all.

Your father was captain of a starship for twelve minutes. He saved 800 lives, including your mother's, and yours.
I dare you to do better.
Ah, thanks.
It looks better in STO's art to be fair.

It's worth noting that in the Year of Klingon announcement the explicitly say that it will happen *alongside* the release of other content as well.
