Example 1: choose the three "special" ships: Amarie class, temp sci, and temp destroyer. In this example each ship costs 4917 zen. Is this a good deal seeing that you can get 3 temp ships from c store for less than 3000 zen each?
Example 2: choose two of the "special" ships and the T6 vouchers. In this example, the T6 vouchers are a value of 6000 zen, making the two "special" ships 4375 zen each. A better deal, but still in my opinion a complete rip off.
I'm seeing a lot of confusion in this thread, so I'm gonna attempt to clarify again, although a huge thank you to the people who have tried this already.
This bundle has six possible items you can claim from it. When you purchase the bundle, you can choose any three of those. The six items are:
Amarie - an Account unlock, reclaimable on all characters
Temporal Science Vessels - Account Unlock, you get the faction appropriate ship on all characters
Temporal Destroyers - Account Unlock, you get the faction appropriate ship on all characters
10x Ultimate Tech Upgrades
2x 100% off Any Ship in the Zen Store
1 Phoenix Epic Prize Token
Again, you can choose any three of those. You can pick all three ships if you like, and that would be your bundle. You can pick two ships and the upgrades. You can pick one ship, the upgrades, and two free ships in the Zen Store. You can pick the Upgrades, the free ships, and the phoenix token.
The only thing you cannot do is buy the pack twice, and claim the same ship from it again. If you already claimed the Amarie, for example, it is now an account unlocked ship and you already have it on all of your characters, so we're not going to let you waste money by claiming it again. The only things you can claim multiple times are the things that aren't account unlocks, which are the upgrades, the coupons, and the token.

Cool, then i was right from the begining!, it's quite a good deal for the ones that dont have those items!, thanks Kael!
For me it's 1 T6 Promo-box ship as account unlock + 1 T6 Lockbox ship as account unlock + 1 T6 Lobi ship as account unlock…
For 5 month of saving Dilithium from light grinding.
And I have more than 20 alts.
And... I always liked the look of the temporal ships
.Sold.
Additionally, while the Amarie may be not as powerfull as Annorax or Elachi Dread cruisers and Paradox would complete the temporal ships set, Amarie does have full trader amenites (Bank, Exchange, Mail consoles, Trader DOFF assignment and Commodities Trader), so it may be usefull ship for Dilithium/Energy credits farming alts.
Besides, it is a Promo box ship. I will not believe it will not perform good (at least until I personally check it in some battles).
So as I can figure out.
1- You can by as many packs as you want.
2- The 3 ships options on the top row are a account unlock and the science ships are a bundle of 3 factions. and you only need as a once off.
3- The 3 options on the bottom. The T6 coupons, The Phoenix Prize Pack and the 10 upgrade tockens are unlimited.
4- 14750 zen for the first 5 days. then 29500 after.
5- I assume this will go for about a month.
The Temporal Destroyers are also three Faction specific variants.

Yes, this pack have the equivalent to 7 ships in total
Yes and no, which is where some of the confusion comes from. If you buy a temporal ship pack, no character on your account will get more than 3 ships because the temporal ships are all locked to their faction. But it is clear now that all characters will get 3 ships as you do get all the variants rather than having to pick just one variant.
Now though, we can see how they value these things. They see all 3 choices as approximately equal, which I find funny. Using the two free t6 coupons which are a $60 value, you can get them for $50 while it is on sale, but $100 after. If you had the ships in box form, then they could be seen approximately equal to a phoenix token, each choice giving one ship, but as account unlocks the ships are easily a better choice than the phoenix token as still a single character unlock, definitely not equal value.
Besides, it is a Promo box ship. I will not believe it will not perform good (at least until I personally check it in some battles).
It's an ok ship, but not top of the line for its class - it's main feature was the bridge amenities. If a ship is particularly high performance then you'll see it well-represented in queues and around earth spacedock. If they're just really attractive ships you'll see them from time to time. The rest you'll see almost never. I suspect you've almost never seen an Amarie.
Yes, this pack have the equivalent to 7 ships in total
Well, not in the same way the Legendary pack had 10. This would be 3 ships for any given character as the other 4 are faction-specific reskins of one of those three (with the usual trivial differences for the factions).
It'll probably come down to whether or not they also run a ZEN charge bonus to take the edge off the 5000-per-ship pricetag. While these are difficult to obtain ships for most people, they're not wonderful ships. Making them account-wide unlocks is a nice touch, but you can get more effective ships for less ZEN as direct zen purchases, such as pilot escorts, the eternal science ship, and so on. They're also account unlocks, and have traits you may well use after you get sick of flying them.
Although I do want the smugglers escort, I will not pay 15k for 1 ship. Which is why i wont buy it on the exchange either.
I would rather go without then be price gouged by all those who feel its worth selling at 15 to 30k EACH.
Well, it's more like 7 ships, three of which can be used by the characters, with two of those three ships dependant on the character's faction (faction-aligned Jem'Hadar).
I'm seeing a lot of confusion in this thread, so I'm gonna attempt to clarify again, although a huge thank you to the people who have tried this already.

Any chance of the Phoenix Epic Prize Token be applied to Account unlock in the future for PC version of game (as I recall it's been made Account Unlock for the Consoles)?

We do not get 1 ship for 15k Zen
We get 3 of the things from the pack.
I understand that you may be intersted only in 1 thing from the pack, but the other 2 choices stll have their own worth...
It can be account unlocks of 3 ships:
1 Promo box ship as an account unlock and...
1 lockbox timeship as an account unlock - which actually are the same, but different looking on each of 3 faction and...
1 lobi timeship as an account unlock - which actually are the same, but different looking on each of 3 faction
Eventually we could, instead of one of the above, choose pack of 2 Zen store ships coupons - and all Zen store ships are account unlocks.
Thats almost comparable to any Megapack bundle from Zen store (which normally are 3 different ships for each of 3 factions).
Adding to it that they are box ships, which are normally rather pricy on Exchange for one not-unlock piece...
Not quite 15k Zen is not too much for me for it.
(Though almost 30k Zen at normal price would be too much, I think).
But of course everyone will decide for themself.
And everyone deicision is correct… for them.
This is beginning to look like a cash grab to me, one expensive bundle after another in a very narrow time frame is worrying. Maybe that seems paranoid, but if these ultra-expensive bundles keep dropping I'm prompted to wonder if the game is due for a shutdown next year or if this IP will be sold to another company?
That being the case, for the time being I'm going to pass on any real money STO purchases of any kind .... say for the rest of 2020.

Cryptic was talking about expanding account unlocks for ships (promo ships and lockboxes) for a while. This seems to be how they are doing this (rather than those ships being account unlocked if you had previously unlocked them with one or more of your characters before the unlock).
I think this is the best way Cryptic can grab as much money as they can for all the T6 they've made up till now BEFORE they make the transition to TIER SEVEN starships. You heard it here first folks. T7 is coming soon to a Trek game near you.
This is too confusing. If one buys say the temporal science vessels, do they get all 3 flavors unlocked or just one of the 3?
Since it appears to be an account-wide unlock on ships, if you buy a pack with three variants, each of your characters on that account gets the faction-appropriate version. Fed gets the Fed version, Klingon gets the Klingon version, etc.
Remember how they sold the T5 'Tailgunner' Escort? It went on sale with lots of hype about having that fixed gun emplacement at the aft of the ship.
The very next day, we got articles on "T5+Plus" ships. Then the articles on Tier 6 started out--and the rage was on about having to buy all our ships over again just for some new level that was now needed to rule the end-game queues! If you were here then, you know exactly what I'm talking about.
Don't let this fool you. When they start selling the Lock Box ships, something big is coming around the bend! Get those Government Checks ready to sign over to Cryptic and Perfect World my Trekkies!!!

I doubt it. They indicated a willingness to sell box ships on the cstore some time ago, as people wanted account wide unlocks. Thus far they've made a number of different packages to sell box ships in one form or another. They are experimenting and clearly trying to make money on older, less popular ships that aren't big draws for the boxes. How many of these Amarie escorts have you seen in game before this? I don't think I've ever seen one. This is a way to actually make money on them when they have likely made very little on them thus far.

The Amarie is a rare bird, that's for sure. If you try to buy one though, expect to pay around $200.00 USD in Lock Box Keys-to-Energy Credit-ratio for it. It's a very powerful ship and it's only the high price that keeps it from being seen more often than not. There are other less-expensive ships out now that are comparable to the Amarie; that's another reason to not see that ship itself.
It's a very powerful ship and it's only the high price that keeps it from being seen more often than not.
Powerful how? Compare it to, for example, the Allied Pilot Escorts that are simple ZEN ships - the Amarie has slightly better hull and shield mods, but had lower turning rates.. and doesn't have piloting maneuvers!
It isn't the high price that keeps it from being seen more, it's the fact that there are much better promo box choices. If you see an Amarie (before tomorrow, of course) it's likely the person picked it up during the promo event when it was released, not since... and you still won't see it much among people who have it because there are better ships to main, even of similar class.
So is the Universe class and people still want it... so is the Eternal class, and it's still second to none as a science ship. There are plenty of older ships that people still want and still buy.
A ship either needs to be very effective, or very attractive (in the eyes of the captain, of course) to be seen with much regularity. The Amarie is neither top tier in effectiveness nor particularly attractive in most people's eyes. The one thing it ever had going for it was amenities on the bridge.. and that stopped being as big a thing when sector space travel was trivialized by free transwarping to missions.

that's what I came to when I first read it... but I am hoping I am wrong...
but if you can only claim the ships packs once each...
would the remaining 3 items be worth $150 or $300 (if no discount) a pop?
"You can purchase the bundle and claim rewards as many times as you like"
"but you can only choose each ship pack once"
so if I buy all 3 ship packs at the same time... would the remaining 3 items that I can pick and choose from be worth the cost of admission?
