Hanging on file patching before space TFO

So I have a bit of a unique situation, my Desktop PC runs Linux Manjaro. I play STO through the Linux version of Steam, using Steam's Windows compatibility layer Steam Play.
I've been running STO this way for over a year, sometimes I get long hangs waiting for a patch, but this time it just doesn't want to patch.
It's the newest Pahvo space TFO.
I'll try to run it on a different Steam Play version to see if that changes anything.

    On a side note it would be nice if the system could tell the difference between AFK and a client failing to patch before the timeout.

    Do you have the Star Trek Online launcher? If you do instead of just using the Linux Steam option, you can go to Options, turn off On-Demand Patching, and then click on Force-Verify. That will re-download the game but should solve this problem that you have with hanging on file patching before a TFO. Thanks. :)

    I will try that. I already tried force verify, but will turn off on-demand patching and rerun force verify.
