Unable to authenticate: Connection to the account server timed out

this is popping up launching from steam
There is no QA there is only ZUUL
called out the bs and got BANNED. and i would gladly do it again.

      Logged in to update no problem, but when i tried getting in game this happened.

      After the update, it tried to use the log in server (3 failed attempts), then I clicked on Engage!, and it won't even try to authenticate me.

      yup, i am getting the same message. must be something with the patch they did this morning and the server status is green.

      I guess its more that a new event started, so more ppl are logging in as usual and the current serverhardware cant handle that amount of login attemps at the same time.

      Same here. Was originally in game for a little, the rubberbanding was terrible. Crashed while zoning, and now can't get past login.

      As in topic about the patch:

      there is a statement:
      Greetings Captains!
      We will be having a maintenance tomorrow, 4/28 at 7AM Pacific for 2.5 hours. (What time is this for me?)
      You can find our patch notes here.

      For UTC is from 15 to 17:30 in Wednesday. So in minutes we should be able to login. Let's them finish the maintainance. :)

      That's not the issue. the issue is the authentication server is playing up again. the game has been back for an hour.

      Same here, using the "standard" launcher.
      Server status shows green, was able to log into the launcher to patch but after that the account server is unresponsible.
      Change of DNS server and clearing DNS cache didn't change anything either, can't even authenticate to the launcher anymore.
